No winter- La Nina or Global Warming?

This is ridiculous, no snow, too warm, where's winter? It's like that all over the country except in some elevated spots. What gives? I know they say La Nina is Fucking the Jet Stream, making it move way north of of what it would normally be. But even some weather channel scientists are saying that could be influenced by global warming. When are we ever going to do something about it? Ban oil and coal today, phase out natural gas and put all kinds of incentives into solar, wind, sensible cellulose based biofuels, and other sensible alternatives we need to pursue. what do you think?

Ban Oli and coal it,s very difficult to many people are addicted to those energy..
IF we should do solar and wind-think many will get in prob of many reasons..what about poor countrys ? even USA will not be an part of coyoto-just think about how much energy we using on things-we really dont need. But yes-something has to be done before we are saling around the hole world-we dont got any winter even-but water everythere
Glad im doing in kayak

I think I get you at least partly though, yes I hear the whole solar is too expensive still argument but it's funny you mention 3rd world countries, as many of them are making this work somehow and the richest country in the world can't? Lot of villages in Africa I hear, are getting solar since it is cheaper than building a power plant and they have plenty of sunlight in those parts! Kyoto has its issues but people should unite around that first and then go from there and improve upon it instead of just scrapping the whole thing! And yes, conservation is key too. Some would have you believe conservation equals communism or going back to the dark ages and living off wood fire and candlelight, and that is just ridiculous! Just shut lights off in offices before you leave. When I used to be at the university, the classrooms would be lit up like christmas trees and no one was in there, so I went around shutting all the lights and if someone saw me they thought I was some kind of freak but I didn't care. From my perspective, what kind of bonehead leaves lights on with no one in there? what's the point? and that wasn't all. People would throw out all kind of things they could recycle, bottles and cans they could cash in the janitors would hoard and make half their pay off of or it would just go to waste, and faucets in bathrooms would be left on, what just to be dicks? And it was not just the students, the admin would have the buidings so wastefully hot off of coal-fueled steam power it wasn't funny, or it would be bone-chillingly cold, but mostly hot even in the summer. There is just no need for this! Pure bone-headed waste that could easily be avoided. You leave your dorm room for the night, don't leave 2000 W of electricity going unless you are doing a grow in there, as that is just so stupid it isn't funny!

A lot of members here aren't English speaking, and I think they do a remarkable job at communicating here at ICMag. Maybe try learning a second or third language and going to a forum from another country. I love you man.
I believe the Earth goes through cycles of cooling and warming, and while the things we do here have an impact..things will happen in spite of it. Yeah we have global warming, but not because Al Gore says so

That's the unusual part. Al Gore is a spokesperson. Science says man exacerbates climate change.

Remember all the phony, "hide the decline" riff raff? Those folks got their top skeptics, $650,000 in funding ($250,000 from the Kochs) and determined the temp stations weren't compromised by urbanization, the East Anglia statistics weren't forged and climate change is exacerbated by man.

But I,m really trying best i can NE-have been here for a long time and treads likes this interest me lot and for not have 2 windows opening at once time,i just learning English from others people.
There was an documentar in TV for not long ago about then people are planning on things shall go in break after an while-it,s an known fenomen and there,s maked an movei about those planned eldernes. So we have to buy new things all the time..in ole days the bulp was the first thing, who should go in break after 1000 hours,The workers could make them,so they could do at least 3 -4000 hour,s-but-if they did that-they didnt get paid for their works..SO in many cases their is NO interest for make things, who can survive for long time and us people are getting used to,new things are beeing spitting out constantly..
All those garbage from us rich peolpe are sending those to Africa, and they are now drowing-drukner-in garbage-but-we dont have capicitet for all those garbage..
The communist suffered US and others an bulp, who could run at least 10.000 hours-noone would touch it..like the nylonsocks-then they came for first time-they was so strong,so the workers on factoryes-fabrikkerne-lost their jobs..
They had to put things into those nylon,so it was not so strong and people get their jobs again..Those old T8 rears on schools and so spending more power to switch on than to let them run..because it,s not high frequent.Their fore they always are running..and it,s very expended for shift them. But it,s stupid Yes agree.

Yes Warped can handle 3 laungage hate those word only those.Try best.
Love You 2 so : )
But what can we do ? then them who really can do somethinng not are in same interest or to late mabye.

I think the dickholes messing around with H.A.A.R.P. may be fucking up the worlds weather patterns. There is evidence it may have played a part in the weird weather disasters in Australia, and other parts of the world.

Massive facilities that dwarf the one in Alaska have been built in Switzerland and Russia. What the fuck are they doing? Ask them and you get a bunch of lies, and confusing nonsense basically saying it's over your head.

Let's superheat the ionosphere and see what happens?

WHATEVER the reason this past year's weather was whack. I'm at 4,000' feet near the Cali/Oregon border and no snow on the ground, mostly sunny and I'm walking around in a short sleeve shirt! I love this weather but it's not good overall. Could be a hella bad fire season this Summer if we don't start getting some precipitation. Without a strong, long freeze cycle the bark beetles could do some serious damage in 2012 because they won't get killed off. Very weird stuff.

theres no way everyo e turning lights off when we leav the room is gonna make any kind of difference. most off our power grid use goes to industry and commercial uses. they gotta stop blaming it on us and come up w an actual viable alternativ cuz the whole modern world is hooked on using massive amounts of cheap energy to keep everything goin. noones gonna cut back and sacrifice their standard of living. unless forced to by rising energy cost which is inevitable. the only real solution currently is nuclear power but after japans crisis everyones freaked. its better than oil and coal tho imo the waste is only problem modern reactors are very safe

plus nobody should be having more than 2-3 kids max these days. It's just irresponsible, but who cares really I'm sure the earth will be glad to be rid of us once we wipe ourselves out.

La Nina or Global Warming?
Neither. It's massive amounts of methane in the upper atmosphere due to excessive cow farts. The methane clouds are so expansive that they are blocking all weather patterns from preforming normally.

sorry man (easygoing, warped) I was watching a nature show about how protecting a few illegal loggers was more important than protecting the last 400 Sumatran tigers and it was irritating the fuck out of me!
I did not realize English actually was a 2nd language to you, some are just do it they think its cute or something! Sorry again, last thing I am is racist or intolerant of other cultures or ways of thinking, we need more ways of thinking and less arrogance to solve our problems. forgive me man

Haarp? I don't think that is causing all this. Cow farts? well if you are going to include that why not include our farts or black asphalt and dark buildings and greenhouses holding in excess heat? Hell everything should be looked at but we all know, whether we want to believe it or not, that we have to get off of oil and coal and other fossil fuels and look for carbon neutral alternatives. Those with a vested interest in making money off carbon fuels would have you believe alternatives are insanity, utopian pipe dreams, or too costly to taxpayers or to jobs. That could not be further from the truth and I am surprised that some here parrot that nonsense when we should know better! Alternatives are necessary for our survival, we got to where we are by being innovative and open to change, not the opposite, stagnating idiots!

I hear you, sort of. The warm weather is saving on state snow plowing budgets. It is causing me to burn less wood. The rabbits are still making babies and will likely become a nuisance in the garden. If I had a workable greenhouse (or even cold frame) still, I could be growing lettuce and spinach in there. People in northern Canada could one day replace midwestern US farmers as the breadbasket of the world. The ditzes on the news keep saying they love it because it is convenient or comfortable for them without realizing the much greater damage it is doing to the world. It is tempting to be selfish, but it is in the long term good to everyone to see the big picture, realize this is not natural and that it needs to change.
