So how do you like your freedom?

Stuck-in-box.jpg

i see it all the time that the usa is just an "image/idea" of freedom and not REAL freedom....well, i guess you must feel like this guy....

what made me start this thread is another member (beago) told me in another thread that in the usa aloe vera plants are illegal...i was like no what you talking bout we got them everywhere in canada, everywhere, lol go to a grandmothers house and see her house full of them. so i figured id look it up for fun top prove him wrong....well i was wrong...

http://recoilmag.com/news/aloe_plant.html

now i see all the other "BS" that the states do top their citizens, but when i seen this it was more of a joke to me...like seriously i have never seen ANYONE consume aloe to get high, ive seen them rub it on their skin to heal burns and cuts though...
edit: not sure as what the status is on aloe exactly....but im sure you get what this post meant, and how i feel

God bless america:gday:, maybe one day their people will wake up and realize what will eventually happen if this continues.

BTW im not saying canada is much better, but imo its a lil better on most laws...

ps. this thread was not meant in a flame, it was just an expression of how i feel, sorry if anyone takes offence

I got out of a chlorinated pool while at a hotel in New York,
It was a school trip and I was messing around with friends and hitting on girls at a wedding reception,
I guess one of there girls uncles got pissed, he was an undercover cop and he pinned 3 of us in a room,
telling us we we're going to be arrested for being high on drugs because our eye's we're read and one of my friends got put in a choke hold,
I have trouble feeling free in places where cops have absolute power.

Just so you know, and maybe you were already aware and this is just some light humor, or an attempt to troll/trick people...
but that is a parody article... in other words, it's a joke!

You can still buy aloe plants at Home Depot, and crushed, juiced aloe by the gallon, at anywhere from
health food shops to WalMart, in the US. :)

If you really think about it..who is safe from the U.S. government? Ol Mark Emery is stuck in prison, and he's not even an American citizen. You can feel sorry for us here in the states, but you're not out of reach imo. 160 countries signed an agreement with the US government to stop drugs. The green light is still on

YESS!! :good:this is my point of the thread, the usa has so much influence over every other country, canada being one of the most influenced by the usa...

but no other country and no other person other than usa citizens can do something about it....if there is a problem, start at the root of it....the rest will fall like domino's

I see a lot of beautiful things out there..

Sure I'd like for some things to be different but... for now I am happy with things are

I think it's pretty impressive that things are still working in the world

if your not happy about something, you are more than welcome to bring change

I would be interested in how you guys rate the level of freedom of various places/times.

What country currently enjoys the most freedom?

What country in the past enjoyed the most freedom?

How free is the U.S. currently?

Are U.S. citizens more or less free than in times past?

Thanks in advance.

I know that some shit looks like it's really not doing well

I believe that we have some control over things,
I know that in some places it's really hard to crawl out of the shit hole but we all have the possibility to try

and depending on the time and energy we spend, shit can happen

maybe not for our own generation

apparently we are living on the earnings of our fore-fathers (who worked really hard)

i share your consternation.
feeling like i woke from a coma and everything is backwards now.
the police used to be ones to call in time of distress, no longer. they cause more distress than they relieve.
perhaps many do not see the change since they are law-abiding straightlaced folk, not veering from the line. perhaps it is fear that keeps them that way. hard distinction anymore. regardless, it is easily recognizable to anyone who has crossed the line that USA has foisted her will across the planet.

From the Dr MLK

And don't let anybody make you think that God chose America as his divine, messianic force to be a sort of policeman of the whole world. God has a way of standing before the nations with judgment, and it seems that I can hear God saying to America, "You're too arrogant! And if you don't change your ways, I will rise up and break the backbone of your power, and I'll place it in the hands of a nation that doesn't even know my name. Be still and know that I'm God." "

In the end the choice is yours,

That's the point; The choice is not mine.

I greatly admire MLK and find the above quote helpful and true but, it's religion directed towards political ends. Both are TOU violations whether I like it or not. To allow violations because I like the OP, or his position, or the people he quotes is a gross abuse of authority and should be a banning offense.

At the risk of semantic gamesmanship, let's stick to philosophy, keep religion out and remember, no politics other than cannabis legislation.
