IF it could bring some important politicals votes-it could mabye comes on the order of the day and only if so...people who dont smoke MJ dont care about us.Dont think "they" will earn money on "drugs"-it had always been illegal around-it would always be..
sounds as an givenup mention.But it,s nearly like 2bacco-govorments also doing many money on those even they knows people are beeing sick-but now they also starting to do it very expended and difficult to smoke an ucking cigarettes.How should "they" could understand US ?
I dont care-just act like it,s legal--they just thinking on them selfes..IF we drinked instead of smoke-it would gives them more problems i guess.But UCK them-we do as we always had done..

And violence had newer lead to anything good in situations like those.IF we should do something-we should do happenings to those politicals instead who says we are bad and criminal and so-do good and kind things.,.so we could came on television and newspapers for kind things--so will they get difficult to mark us-as bad people and mabye get some attention to US..
Bringing them some nice cakes and go out and do some things all peoples noticed-like them there are MJ Marches..

Joe its not a case of fear, legal or not legal i grow my own period , i like to know whats in my meds , when legal youre gonna be buying your mj legally from big tobacco like cigarette period, a lot of good people realize this , so for many to say we are just cash croppers and just want things to stay the same is being ignorant of the fact that money runs everthing around us (gov), and yes I AM FOR LEGALIZATION if it means that i can grow my own at home in peace .

Whats up disco, if by legalization you mean that i would be able to grow my own at home im all for it , but unfortunately thats not what legalization is gonna mean , mark my words , marijuana is considered medicinal and there is just too much money to be made by big pharm and big tobacco , you growing at home would still be considered illegal, lets try to get it decriminalized , they catch us charge us a fine no jail time that way the system makes money and we get to be with our families, washington has too many lobbyist too much money peace.

Hey beago, good points. I also doubt that legalization will take the form most beneficial to us. Prohibition reform was also applied incrementally with 3.2% restrictions on beer and wine. (I bet that was some suck-arse wine.)

Joe i really respect your point of view that being said lets talk about the ALOE VERA plant , how many of you know that the aloe vera plant is illegal for you to grow in your homes(google aloe vera illegal in america) yet big pharm gets to use it in all their products, mj would fall in that same boat, (case closed). peace

Some folks consider it herb, others consider it drug. Not sure if key lawmakers will make a difference with unlimited campaign money and lobbying power. The same bandits will pull the strings, we'll blame gub and bicker with each other. Even two-bit issues are politicized to divide the electorate while the top gets richer. I wouldn't expect weed freedom to be any different.

So much of the change we wish to see comes at the expense of monied interests. We can't change everything but we can demand public financing of elections.

i looked up that aloe vera thing, you sir are an alarmist and you obviously do not do research.

aloe vera is NOT illegal in america, they sell them in stores all over the place for one. INJECTIONS of aloe vera are illegal, INJECTIONS. plant and products made from it are perfectly legal for everyone including you. just don't inject anyone with aloe vera.

but this has made me remember that most peoplein america are like you, any sensational story that is well written to pull an emotional string is ran with at high speed through the streets.

well in canada the aloe vera plant is 100% legal...i got a few in my house bought them at home depot....they sell them everywhere around here so i dont really know what your talking bout there


but the mexican mint plant(salvia divinorum) is illegal to grow herem but ive seen home depot in southern states sell these plants, dont know if they still do but they did.

nothing against gays, have had gay neighbors accross the street and beside...very nice ppl and they mind their own buisness...what i cant stand is the flamers that like to try and rub some of their "swag" on everyone they meet. i was just using that as a referance point being that weed has been around alot longer than gays, but they get their rights before weed plants do. (yes i understand homosexuality has been around for hundreds if not thousands of years, but weed has been around alot longer than that)

Ummm... the whole point you're missing is that people are pushing for legalization. Your definition of 'legalization' is wrong.

Decriminalizing something is when you only make it legal for end users... no crime. The penalties for cultivation, production, distribution and such are still in place.... feeding the money made on prohibited items. (doesn't matter that the end users are legal)

In that situation... the only people that make money are law enforcement and big pharma.

Legalization, on the other hand, removes the restrictions that are in place. This enables millions of personal growers to grow and supply a small group of people around them.... as long as they don't sell it.

People confuse 'regulation' like alcohol and tobacco with 'legalization' all the time as well. In reality, cannabis should be as legal as cabbage and tomatoes..... Grow all you want, give away and use all you want.... pay taxes and licence fees and jump through flaming hoops if you want to sell it commercially.

Until then... cannabis is NOT legal... only tolerated and decriminalized. I'm a colorado med patient... cannabis has been legalized and regulated. It isn't the best but it's better than non-medical, no tolerance states.
