I'm being a bit lazy but in the Securities and Legal Forum there is a thread and link discussing browsers abilities to report back to sites what site is visited prior and after leaving each site.
The conclusion of the thread was DO NOT come from large sites of information and records storage, especially social media giants, directly to ICmag or from ICmag.
It was even decided it was safer to browse ICmag in a completely separate browser, so there was no past history of other sites to record or watch...
That being said:
Those who visit ICmag, in the past three months, have first come from:
29.69% - google.com
21.88% - facebook.com
20.31% - youtube.com
And after browsing ICmag, immediately visited:
42.55% - google.com
25.53% - facebook.com
14.89% - youtube.com
While some may wonder what they do with all this type of information, I don't care...I'd rather not provide it to them. Let's have safer browsing habits in 2012!!!
(If you know where to look such statistics are freely available. Imagine what more "THEY" can tell.)
Another interesting blurb - site traffic is down 24% during the past three months...so for those that thought it was getting quiet, maybe you were right!
