SOG tips?

So i'm going to try out my first sog, strain selected is DGS sweetest cindy 99.

i'll be growing in a 4x4 space so i've decided with 2 tables being 2x4 foot each, each table will use a 600w hps on a light rail, the rail will probably move 45-60cm or so, i find they work better with less movement.

shooting for 4 plants per sqft, so 32 plants per table
i was hoping to just clone, root nicely then flower as i don't really have much spare space for veg at the moment

will be in rockwool in a flood and drain system.

would love any tips people can give as it's my first sog, cheers

What is your plan for bringing up the seedplants, sexing them and getting to the point where you can root 64 cuttings?

Have you looked to see if anyone one has a SOG Sweetest Cindy Journal? That would probably be the best place to get tips. I know searching on here can be a daunting task. I guess what I'm getting at is: Have you made sure it's a good strain for SOG. I'm just asking because I don't know the strain.

4 plants per sq ft in a 4x4 area is 64 plants. It'll be awesome. :D

Keep them short. Depending on the plant you may need to do some pretty heavy fan leaf trimming.

Lots of airflow to prevent mold!

veging out a plant i selected from the seed run, then cloning from that.

done alot of searching, nothing on sog for her, but i have grown her and she does produce some very nice colas, stretch is decent also.

the only issue i can think of is it produces quite a bit of side branching in veg/stretch, not sure if such a plant is ideal for sog due to that, but it does make some nice colas.

ive not grown her, but if she branches just lollypop her... and dont give her any veg or a week at the most.

Everybody up top pretty much got it. Good ventilation will help prevent pm/mold. Your going to definitely want to lollipop them so less time trimming popcorn & more on giant colas. Also it helps with ventilating the bottom as pm loves to start in bushy uncirculated area there. Also with that many plants just remember to give them all an equal amount of care.

It also depends on the leaves. If she has big fat afghani leaves then she probably needs a little more space than 6X6 inches but if she's more like C99 with delicate leaves then she could very well be perfect for this kind of grow.
I agree with the lollipopping - better to give the clones a few days to ensure a good start on the roots and then trim lower shoots than to start a sog with barely rooted clones that will have an uneven growth because some clones are better rooted than others.

cheers guys, the pheno i have looks to lean more c99 in the leafs

the other option i've thought of is 1 plant per sqft and fiming them to produce 4 nice colas, i've fimed this plant previously and it responds very well to it, on a clone i had 4 very long nice colas with very little branching under, so im thinking this may be another option to the sog, either way the goal is 4 big colas per sqft.

any one experienced there? sog would be the easier option i think but i like to try new things and taking 15 cuts sure beats 45-50

thanks again.

Allow a small digression? I do ScrOG with sativas. During the 6 months of 12/12, I throw out 70% or more of the plant because the double steel wall construction of my cab says there's no more room. I know it's good for the plant, for me, for the cab. I know my 250 buries me under more weed than I can handle BUT throwing out weed hand over fist sucks. It's heartbreaking.

With a 600 you'll have more than you know what to do with. For the first grow, I'd go 12/12 asap and see what happens. Should it be you have space left over, tweak the next grow.
