Well, the root of the problem is the heavy hand of Prohibition interfering with the market. Once it's free and legal things will correct themselves fast. All the bit players selling bunk will be outed as junk, and it will quickly become apparent who has their shit together.

Because you can't walk into WalMart and buy seeds. Because it's illegal. Same reason weed is expensive in places where it's illegal, duh.

Example- Why are tomato seeds so much cheaper than pot seeds? Because they are legal.

We are Connoisseurs of the finest cannabis seeds known too man and have no problem with the $$, more often that not, It is easy to find a good male & female to breed from a seed pack and Walla!! you have 100s of beans to play with for FREE!! I think that is the big picture

Ready for this????The 2012 trend thread inspired me so to speak to make this thread. A trend I would like to see is breeders creating their OWN way to make their beans available to folks. For a reasonable price. NOT EVERYONE IS A COMMERCIAL GROWER!!Cut out the middleman, sorry Gypsy but you know.There are some out there who still go to the street to get meds because they think with the cost of seed,light,and all the other things that go with it its just soooo expensive. We actually need more breeders like .....well.... Female Seeds.They are in my book GREAT at what they offer.Why do some breeders feel the need to charge out the ass for stuff when there are silent breeders just laying low and sellin great gear for a much lower price???.The seed price has just gotten ridiculous. I used to have the thought...well I can grow as much as I want with the seeds I just paid $160 for. Well folks...thats where the problem lies.The greedy breeders KNOW that is what we think.We all know how many seeds you can get off of a healthy plant. Do the math in dollars. Breeders cry risk,like we take NO risk growin their seed?A seed is a seed,I create great strains all the time,example.....White Rhino purple pheno X with an awesome oger99 male. The outcome is just amazing!!! I am a nobody....call me a pollen chucker if you will. I tested this strain and the outcome is better than the original strains.I have around 900 seeds of this cross.Sooooo,lets say I sell them to ya for $60 for a 10 pack,well I would get around $5,400!!You see what i'm sayin??? Go ahead and let the neg fly,I really do not care.You guys and gals out there throwin pollen and testing the outcome are not unlike the folks you buy your seed from.Hype is not going to help our cause!!!

I paid 150$ per 10 pk of gypsy's C99 F2 . She has only been around my garden almost 3yrs now . Still giving me tons of clones . Best 150 ever spent 150$ is my limit for single pk. U must be butt hurt over the price of a strain u really want and cant afford . Maybe im wrong ? I f2 everything open pollenation if 100$ or more . Then I got endless stock with tons of phenos to search. Tons of ways to geta round this cost , use your head

Yeah seeds are way too pricey thats why I bought some REGULAR seeds of mns ssh,mango haze and a og cross i cant name. Not only to isolate the keeper females but to find a few studs to dust the hell out of my clone onlys. I now have more seeds than I know what to do with and I just started.

I can't wait to test my first batch of SFVOG x nevilles haze (piff pheno)and SFVOG x purple kush. Got a few hundred of each, hopefully they germinate lol.

I was just looking at some of a "popular breeders" beans. He has 1 strain at $109 at the top of the scale..and $86 at the bottom..the rest of the strains..8-9 are all $96. I'm supposed to believe that all of those strains are equal? There are other breeders out there too..on the low end. All strains are not equal in any breeders lot in my opinion. How could they be?
