Hmmm. So you think it's an environmental issue (heat / humidity) rather than a nutrient issue. It was a semi-gurilla plant in a 100 gallon burlap pot and I put 10 - 12 cups of organic dry grow into the mix. I was thinking it was too much N or something

Yes, specifically VPD, because it is via VPD that the plant is able to circulate water (and nutrients) through its tissues.

You can see it in other plants as well, rhododendrons being one group of species that seem to be very sensitive to the relative values of temperature and humidity, especially if it's cold.

If your plant looks just like the one pictured, it is not experiencing too much nitrogen. It looks quite healthy, just hot and like it's trying to conserve moisture.

plant looks good in second pic you should pick up the trash and home depot buket the contrast will give the heli's something to look at
