My 1st thread Sugar, Durban Poison, Bubble Gum, Lemon Skunk, Aurora Indica, & Big Bud

Here are my beautiful ladies... I have been growing Sugar, Lemon Skunk & Durban Poison for awhile now... This is my first grow for Big Bud, Bubble Gum, & Aurora Indica... Also I found some seeds in this incredible nugget I got in Chicago... So it will be very interesting to see how they turn out... Here's a link to the album...

these ladies are 6 weeks in... unfortunately the big bud hermed out on me... so they are full of seeds... thankfully the other plants didn't take to much damage... only a few seeds here and there... the mystery seeds were all female... i took clones and will flower them soon... i'm holding the durban poison back as a mother... should have some pics of them pretty ladies up soon also...

Is that Nirvana Big Bud? Just wondering because you listed a bunch of Nirvana stuff.

I grew out Nirvana Big Bud years ago and really liked it. She produced a 1/2 lb plant outdoors which is a huge plant for these parts. The smoke was skunky which I happen to enjoy. Reminded of the flavors we used to get back in the 80's.

It's too bad she hermied on you. I know a lot of people say Big Bud isn't super potent. I wouldn't say that Nirvana Big Bud was the most potent bud I've smoked but it was quite enjoyable. The effect was a bit short lived but always looked forward to smoking more so it worked out fine for me.... I have been thinking about trying her again. Anybody else grown out Nirvana Big Bud lately? Have any probs?

I'm not really sure if its Nirvana or not?.. I got the seeds from an unknown site... When I got them they were just in little plastic bags w/ the names marked on em'.. Not the fancy pouches I see on here... I can't wait to try her... The bud looks decent, just very seedy...

I have a 400w hps & two 175w metal halides in my vegging room(4X8)...I veg for 4-6 weeks using the Technaflora recipe for success kit... Length depending on whether or not I'm going to take clones off her or not... And two 400w hps in my flowering room... Which is one room split into two 4x5 sections... I use Fox Farm nuts for blooming... For this grow I used 1 bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest... Then mix in 1 part(8qts) perlite, 1 part vermiculite, 2 parts Sunshine Advanced Mix4... I'm thinking of doing a couple different things next time... I'd like my soil to have a little better drainage... It holds water a little to well... Any suggestions??.

I like the ProMix HP - good texture for the mix. I usually mix around 20% EWC, 30% ProMix HP, 50% FFOF.. Sometimes I'll mix in some Rainbow Mix to sort of fortify the soil a little more..

Sounds like some nice sq ft'ge you got there. I'm jealous!

How's it working out with 1 400W per 4x5' area? Is it enough? Just curious - I always aim for about 40+ (preferably 50+) w/sqft, ..

Anyway - diggin' the setup! Sounds like you've got a nice spot to veg too.

ps - just finished smokin' some of that Blue Dragon.

I keep mine around 74-77... When the lights are off 60-65... 83 degrees
is a little high... I wouldn't let it get much hotter then that...

It works well... I usually only have 4-6 plants on each side at a time... I want to try and squeeze 10 under each side... My buds look great and I haven't changed my bulbs in over a year... I'm thinking of upgrading to 1000w lights... But I want to see how my 400watters can handle 10 plants first...

Here is my Sugar... It turned out very nice, & only took 49 days to finish!!! I LOVE this plant!!! Can't wait to sample it...

I will post more pics when she's dry... The other strains should finish up in a week or two... Not sure as I don't have much experience with Bubble Gum & Aurora Indica...

Now that my clones have rooted... I can finally see what these ladies are gonna look like... I planted 3 seeds and they were all female, lucky me!!:yay: I put them all in the same 5 gallon pot... They smell VERY SKUNKY and already have crystals forming!!! I switched them over 3 days ago...

I decided to chop the bubble gum... She was 57 days in and loaded full of seeds... Prob could have went a little longer but due to the seeds... She came down early... Keep a close eye on new strains or this could happen to you...

Unfortunately there were more seeds then bud!!!Looks like she could have some potential though....
