my friend and i in this heated debate about what is a better way to grow he thinks that pvc tubes with sprayers insideand no stone just neoprene collars around the base and jammed in the tubes is way better than an ebb and flow style grow with pots and grow medium like hydroton

i said you will not get as much growing in tubes as you will growing in some type of medium

what do you guys think am i right or are the tubes a better way

Skill of the grower is the biggest factor IMHO. Either will give good results. Too many other factors.

most def, its all about the gardeners experience. So you both are correct.

Never discount grower personality. Soil growers hate DWC cause it's too much work, DWC hates Coco cause it's too much work. Coco hates E&F cause it's too much work etc, etc, etc.

Every grower will tell you theirs is the easiest, fastest, most productive way. Look around the site until a grow bites you in the eye. That's the single greatest method ever invented because it excites you. Excited, you'll do the necessary work with a smile on your lips and a song in your heart (♫"Don't Bogart that joint my friend, pass it over to me..."♫) Disgusted, you'll curse it, kick it, avoid the grow and yield garbage.

That said, I don't see this surviving in a tube
