Real or Fake???

Real or nothing!

It's not just how it looks. It's the smell. The feel and texture of the needles. Everything.

But seeing as there are no small children within my immediate family, we'll probably go with "nothing". No point in getting a tree if no one even wants to decorate it and it's some kind of chore.

a real Santa or a fake one?

you go with the north-pole real Santa, although difficult to catch, even when cookies and milk are set as trap; or the alcoholic skinny man fake Santa at the mall?

I know some of you will prefer the alcoholic for the smell and because he's not really a fat-ass; but can he surpass the quality of the north-pole dweller?

I prefer fake Christmas. Jesus wasn't born anywhere near December and nobody cares about him anyway.
Fill up those landfills with your dead trees.

Have used the same tree for five years in a big planter , dragged indoors for a couple of weeks each year , does not drop spines and smells good , restrict the roots to keep it manageable for years.

Before that used to dig one up with roots and replant after , nearly all survived despite minimal rootball , currently burning xmas 1974 in the stove , grew into a 50 foot spruce way too close to the house.

Local suppliers charge a bit more for live with roots , the individual trees are usually a better quality selection than for the cut trade.

I too ,fell for the tittle.....lol
always had real trees for the wonderful smell..
but now mrs turtle wants a permanent tree outside to decorate..

Ok tree is pretty much done...have to wait till it gets dark to take a picture.
What about the icicles?? do you use them?... I grew up with those things! They get everywhere and you find them for the next 6 months! hehehe

Mrs.Babba, I look at it this way..........when you and Mr. Babba were younger you had the time and wanted to spend the time together looking for a tree. Smoke a nice fat one and go hooping together in the woods for hours. But like all of us you have aged a bit and have very little time for what is really important at Christmas time. Spending time together instead of spending cash on each other.

What do I have .........nothing. No fake tree and no real tree. Like you I have little time for the important things in life right now. I should make time.

Throw your fake tree away. Take Mr. Babbas hand and skip through the woods and find a nice ugly natural grown tree and smoke a big one. Enjoy the season and have fun.

I think I will hunt down a tree this year after all.
