I've attached pics of the problem. I thought it was calcium def so I treated with some Cal-Mag directly into the reservoir. That was about a week ago and leaves that were previously green are showing the same problem. Anyone have any ideas?

What STRAIN are you growing? AK47
What was the establishing technique? clone
What is the age of your plants? 3 weeks since roots appeared
What PHASE are the plants in? Veg
What Technique are you using? Recirculating buckets with hydroton and lots of air
What substrate/medium are you using? hydroton
What is the Nutrient temperature? 70F
What Nutrient's are you using? DM Gold Grow A&B. Equal parts A and B
What is the TDS/EC/PPM you are using? ec approximately 0.2
What is the pH of the "Tank"? 5.8
Are you sure your calibration is correct on your equiptment? I recalibrated ph a few days ago and the ph was reading 0.1 low. So what I thought os 5.8 was actually 5.7
When was your last watering? continuous
What size bulb are you using? Under fluorescent 24 hours
What is the distance to the canopy? less than an inch
What is your RH Factor?

What is the canopy temperature? 72F
What is the Day/Night Temp? 70F all the time
What is the Humidity? 60% all of the time
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)
Is the fan blowing directly at plants? No
Is your water HARD or SOFT? soft, 0ppm out of the filter
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned off of or pinched no
Have any pest chemicals been used? no
Are plant's infected with pest's not that I can tell

.2 is too low. That's barely any food at all. Take it up to ~8ec. Feed em and they'll grow.
here's what happens. the new growth pulls available nitrogen from the lower leaves. This keeps the new growth green while the lower leaves turn yellow and looking like you have there. The plant in essence eats itself in order to cling onto life. Use about 3ml calmag/gallon of nute mix when you make it up. Won't hurt it a bit.

I'll try boosting the ec. I know it seems low but this pheno of AK in my system doesn't need that much nutrient. I've grown this strain before and the only difference from then and now is the room new and the system components are new (first grow in new room). System is built the same. The temp is lower than normal though. Temp in previous room stayed around 78F.

I only see this damage on large older leaves. You may not have a problem anymore. Maybe give us some pictures of the entire plant so we can see if this is the case.

Exactly on point. Personally I'd hold off on the cal/mag until seeing how the plants do. Depending on your nutrients... the mag deficiency can be attributed to the low feed level. I'd also go with garden grade epsom salts... no nitrogen or calcium, which you probably don't need anyway.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:
