who else collects stash jars of different buds?

i guess for about the last year or so i have kept about an 1/8 to 1/4 of every strain i have come across. some of my friends say that they would never be able to set that back and not touch it. was just wondering if anyone else collected stash jars of different buds and how many would you say you had? i have probably 23 to 26 different strains. i keep telling my friends we will have our own cannabis cub for new years but i think i will have a problem parting with them.

Nah man bud is for smoking not for storing. But it's nice to have variety of course, got 4 different kinds of jars at the moment.

I've tried and failed doing this with hash though. Many times.

Currently have 6 strains I alternate, but man... an old hippy bud of mine has 6 cases of 250ml masons of different strains he's collected from his grows. Very impressive to go thru and take a pinch here & there to mix it up.

I remember reading about a "Dank Bank" in a Cannabis Culture magazine. You always had to put more into the bank than you took out. They had a spread with about 50 different varieties.

I used to do my best to do this with amazing quality hash, but its really hard to resist, especially when the current hash attainable is less then the best.

I usually just end up smoking it a week or two later haha, longest I saved some hash was 4 or 5 months, had like 3 strains of incredible quality, small amounts though.

I say smoke the best fuck the rest, store it if you want, but don't store for to long as you can degrade the quality of bud and hash(which is a sin to me )

with my first real outdoor harvest, i have a lot of different varieties, just not a huge yield on anything really, so i have about 20 jars right now, 16 of them are different varieties in amounts ranging from a couple grams up to an ounce

since i'm the only one that smokes in this household, and friends just don't come around too often at all, i reckon this amount will last me many moons, i am trying to be very careful about not letting any get moldy or stale though, that's pretty much my biggest grievance with keeping bud for a length of time is just avoiding the bud going bad

if the bud starts to get stale or decline in quality, i'll probably just go ahead and make some butter

nothing wrong with keeping different kinds around for a long time if they were good to you, just make sure you don't keep them so long that they go bad!

fine wine can get awesome over time, it can also turn to vinegar if you're not careful, same with fine kind buds

...i smoke maybe 1/8th a week of my homegrown blockhead, mtn guerilla, and sour diesel....(that's all i've been running lately)

my wife smokes about 1/4 oz a day tho...in the form of (2) 1/8oz blunts....she has waaaaay more tolerance than me....and i won't touch blunts

when i think back to the stuff i used to run...there is a few i'd like to have saved esp. cherry chunk, and my thunderfuckinblockhead, but i know they would have been gone long before now at some point.

I put each plant in it's own separate jar(s) at harvest.

There can be a big difference among plants; even of the same strain.

I noticed my weed is at its best about 6 months after harvest and slowly declines in quality sometime after that.
Proper curing goes a long way.

i was just wondering if anyone else did this and it seems that you guys too. (makes me feel way less weird now lmao) i keep my stash in lil 2 oz container jars with a tight seal metal lid. i had a bud come home from a 8 week stay in the hospital a few weeks ago who had broken his neck and i laid out the jars for him and told him take his pick. it took him nearly an hour to make a decision and finally decided on an og/master cross i had some months ago. funniest shit ever he smoked an entire joint and slept in my recliner for the next 4 hours lol.

ive always intended on doing this, but like others have said, it never ends up working out. But last summer my state was flooded with the best of the best, and Id get an 8th a day of a different strain, and save like a half gram of each. When i found something i really liked, id get an o, and smoke that exclusively. when id run out, id simply go to my jar of mixed buds. It smelled so good. Id always make salads.

But if a strain wasnt anything special, id never save it, id just hurry up and smoke it so i could get something different.

Well, I've been growing for a while and in my archives I save a trophy nug and a little concentrate from each grow, vac-seal it, date it and store it. In 20 years, it might be interesting to pull out some 2010 Sour D!!!

i keep a sample of everything i grow - but i keep them in baggies in the freezer once they are a few months old. some get rotated with newer herb of the same cut and some get pulled out now and again - but i must have twenty of so different ones atm, and then there's the hash....

I dont grow, I buy a quarter very week, and usually have .5-1g left over when i get my new stash. As of now i have about a half oz consisting of like 20 different strains. I think im gonna run some butane threw those buds, should be some nice oil with all those dif kinds of strains i would think
