I was told you need a fresh battery every hit, if you are talking about the launch box.

sounds a little unbelievable to me, but I think my buddy liked it other than that. a big draw back.

I give it an 8 out of 10.

I give it an 8 out of 10.

I have one.
Don't use it much at home.
But it's hard to beat for "elsewhere" hits.

Was not happy at first.
Then, went to their website to complain and actually read the instructions for use,
It's tricky, but worth the effort to learn to do it right.
Draw too slow, it scorches the load and is quite harsh. (my original complaint).
Draw too fast and it will be too cool to vaporize.
Draw just right and it is so smooth that you are surprised when you get off.

Practice and patience are in order.

Enjoy,
Weezard

Going to be getting one for myself.

I have heard from a lot of folks, that they are awesome, once you get the hang of it.

great for the beach (what wind?) or stealthy toking in general. also nice on vacations where the volcano is too big to bring along. :D

i have some experience with the iolite and i prefer the MFLB.

A fresh battery every hit? MmmmmmNO.

Not quite. I can get 2 trench loads out of one battery.

Treat your batteries properly and you wont have that problem.

They need to be discharged every few weeks for peak performance.

2 Batteries keep me medicated for a good 4-6 hours vaping.

Takes a while to get the hang of how to get efficient tokes, but once you do, you're set.

Great travel device, great bedtime device, great sitting on the shitter device.. very handy all around.

I've had one for about a year and a half now. I personally don't like it. Don't hardly use it, and yes, I have done the different types of draws. But for me, it takes a lot of vaping to get me well lit. It's ok I suppose, but I wish I had spent my money elsewhere. Right now it is just sitting in a drawer in its little tin collecting dust. But from what I've read apprx 7 or 8/10 people enjoy using this product, so your chances on liking it are fairly good. Good luck with it.

you might find it a bit limiting if it's your ONLY means of getting a hit.... but for certain situations where you want an instant, discrete, self contained hit - they are awesome.

i get more than 1 trench out of a battery too. i think when they first came out the batteries supplied were less powerful than the ones you get now.

Very good point.

It's not a GO TO device that you get baked all day off. Certainly not my GO TO preference.

It's more of a convenience type of device. Great to travel with, and also great for situations where you need to sneak in a few puffs discretely.

And yes I think they provide better batteries with the 2011 version.

yeah - being able to get a draw after a couple of seconds is priceless... most other vapes you have to wait for it to heat up etc. - and then cool down again
very low tech - i think of it as a little electric powered pipe. doesnt smell either.
expensive for what it is really but the lifetime guarantee is nice.

Got one too, but wouldn't consider using it at home. There is nothing that beats the verdamper. But I don't travel with my verdamper so the Flight Box is the only option left if you don't want to burn your stuff or, like me, don't smoke pure and hate tabbacco.

Got a pure pipe I use if smell is not a problem, but as said above the Flight Box is your friend for discrete vape on the road.

The quality of the batteries (is there a word for akku in english?) is essential, but you can buy them seperately and strip off the foil, just make sure you don't shorten them afterwards. A charger that discharges before recharching is the key to long NiMh life!

like cars, it really depends what your budget is and what you are looking for.

There are far better portable vaporizers out there (magic flight is considered the Hyundai of vaporizers), but they cost more.

My big beef with magic flight box is the battery, the learning curve, and the quality of the vapor.

I personally would suggest the wispr vaporizer if you can afford it. I rock it daily and absolutely love it.

google 'wispr vaporizer review' to read more about it but basically it came out a few months ago and is made by a company who has decades of experience with butane products.

just got one...it is what it is...convenient when needed. definitely need to learn the right draw...slow and steady. I'd say an 8 is right. certainly worth the $110.

They are awesome I only read a few peoples posts but I will say this.. You DO NOT need a fresh battery every hit. My unit I can get at least 6 hits before the battery is iffy. You can easily make or buy a glass joint to hook it up to any bong bubbler ect. Nice long slow 20 second draws get you wasted. Have fun with it, I love mine.

it still takes a few minutes to heat up, which is hardly an 'instant' hit. imo the MOST useful thing about the MFLB is that it heats up instantly - thats why i chose it over an iolite etc.

If the mflb is the hyundai of vapes, then it has one hell of a powertrain warranty and it gets great mileage! Just keep the batteries charged, and grind your herb well. Understand that you must read the instructions and there will be a learning curve. This thing will get ya where you're going.
