Hey brothers - thanks for taking a peek into my world! Been pretty slow getting around to this project.. harvested shy of 5 elbows last spring in my old house under 2400-5600w, and i am looking to beat that at my new house!

I guess thats a good place to start.. the new house. it was time to stop messing around with rentals & security .. or lack there of .. so after last harvest i started looking around and finally found something that really suited me. I am working out of a 40'x30' basement, unfinished when i bought her. Plans bounced around a whole mess, but we finally settled on a couple room setup. A 6'x7' Veg room, two 10'x10' Flower rooms, and a 5'x20' hallway for working space and irrigation storage.

Alrighty - now we made some pretty good progress, all thats left is fixing a wall my jackass friend fucked up, and putting in the header & door. As far as framing goes, that'll wrap it up. Still more work to do tho; for electric we are running 30amp 240v dedicated circuit for each flower room and the veg room is getting a 20amp 120v dedicated circuit. This will be more than enough to safely run 2k in each flower room, 1k in veg, and still allow amps for future lighting additions.

Once the electric is all wrapped up we will be hanging drywall on the accessible basement side of the framing, and panda poly on the "farm" side of the framing. In the future we plan to tile the rooms & add floor drainage - this way each room can be fully sprayed down and drenched after each round.. should be getting to this project by spring time, possibly sooner.

In the mean time we are using a repurposed bunk bed as a veg cabinet.. lord does it work well! We will be moving her down to the basement in a couple weeks, she is going to be our seedling & clone box. We have a couple LED racks that will be put to use in there, right now we have just been using some 4ft shoplights we had on site with plant bulbs.

Lets See.. So strains we are running this time are as follows: Honey White bx2 (Highend x The White), Pre98 Bubba Kush x Northern Lights#5/haze, Apollo11 x F13, Northern Lights#2 x Skunk#1, Skunk#1, Blue Cheese, G13 x Chem4, Skywalker OG. SHOULD be getting our cuttings soon as well, ahem ahem.. ;-) they will be Sour Diesel IBL, OG Kush f2, Skunk f2, Northern Dream IBL. I've also got some Chem4 coming from a buddy who's been working it for a couple years now, so i am excited to see what his beans produce!

Not pictured above is the Blue Cheese, G13 x Chem4, Honey White, and Skywalker OG.. they are all currently germinating or about to be germinated! Had some issues getting the Honey Whites to germ & then sprout.. and then stay alive ;-/ .. The 3 Honey Whites that did sprout for me were quickly crushed by a falling humidity dome .. derrr stupid garden tech! So we busted out the remaining 8 Honey White beans in the archive and we are giving it another shot!

Our soil was mixed about 2 weeks ago, so it will have a nice sexy 3-4 week activation on it before we transplant into it! very excited about that! in our mix we are using: Pro-Mix, Roots Organic 707, Perlite, Vermiculite, kelp, bone & blood meal, and some lime.. will be top dressing EWC most likely, or using it in a ACT. As far as nutrients go.. last crop i ended up piecing a bunch of different organic products together, consisting of Budswel, Nirvana, molasses, and Mother Earth tea - i had decent results i would say, but after seeing a buddys results using Roots Organic nutrient line i decided i had to give them a try. So i will be using the whole Roots Organic nutrient line and following their feeding schedule, im expecting some great results.

Well thats about all for now! This should be a real interesting thread, and hopefully will be full of useful information with contributions from all! A lot will be going on in the coming weeks as we finish up the work on the basement, wire the electric, and hang the HVAC.. jeez i forgot to talk about that, later i guess! Tons of great genetics running this time, so put on your safari hats cus we are going pheno hunting! :dance013: Going to be looking for some mothers, so it will be an interesting and in depth project to come.

I'll post the next update on sunday after i get some more god dang ol' work done! Safe Smoking :tiphat: TBG

Nice set-up bro! Exciting times in your life. Good idea having the 2 flowering rooms. Glad to hear your safe. :)

PS Switching your bulbs in your nursery area will help with your stretch. More blue. but I'm sure you already know! :)

Brother I got 5 plant bulbs in there & 1 normal floro (soft white?) for added spectrum. I guess the plant bulbs are quite a bit off on the nm spectrum huh? Or could 1 soft white bulb be throwing them off that bad? I was only trying to round out the nm spectrum covered! :blowbubbles:

I just need to get the LED panel in there & lose the soft white.. I'll prob keep the plant bulbs as side lighting though, because I used to have good results with them, just gotta figure it out.

Hey VADO, thanks for peeping it! :tiphat:
Superstone, NEG978, Chief, Wise - thanks for checking it out

Tickler of an Update..

..so the lil babes just received their first feeding, every things on the 4 & 5 node, so it was time. Went a lil something like this:

BUDDHA GROW: 5ml
EXTREME SERENE: 2.5ml
TRINITY: 5ml
ANCIENT AMBER: 2.5ml

Trinity|****0.1–0.5–0.25
Roots Organics Trinity bio-catalyst is a blend of select organic compounds designed for maximum effect as a catalyst for plant and rhizosphere nutrient uptake and growth. Trinity is a universal nutrient supplement that can substantially increase yields and enhance the highest quality production and flavor during the growth and bloom stages of your potting soil grown plants. Trinity is a distinctive formula of complex carbohydrates and soy protein extracts combined to encourage plant vigor, reduce stress, rapidly accelerate growth and substantially increase yields. Trinity can be used with any nutrient program for increased micronutrient uptake.

Extreme Serene|****0–2–2
Roots Organics Extreme Serene organic liquid kelp extract is a natural source of growth with compounds specifically targeted to encourage vigorous growth. Roots Organics Extreme Serene is a distinctive blend of amazing plant extracts for the home and professional gardener. Marine kelp has some of the fastest growth of any plant on earth and we have captured that power for you in an easy to use form. Roots Organics Extreme Serene kelp extract can be used in conjunction with any potting soil or hydroponic nutrient program. Extreme Serene is especially effective when used as a foliar feed.

Ancient Amber|****0.1% Humic Acid
Roots Organics Ancient Amber is derived from leonardite, a rare form of ancient plant material with the highest Humic Acid content found in any naturally occurring source. Ancient Amber is specially extracted for low molecular weight, making it highly soluble and active in small amounts. Use Ancient Amber in potting soil or hydroponics with any nutrient line.

So there it is, that's from their website. Running it at half strength, they like it they'll get full strength next feeding after some straight water. Pics Sunday - safe smoking :tiphat: TBG

Dec. 4th Update

Dec. 4th Update

Hey brothers - just got back from the farm, things are looking great! We have had nice solid growth since the seeds were popped 3 weeks ago. Eight t12 plant bulbs have been rocking over the little ones for a solid 1.5-2 weeks, they grew more than i was anticipating.. especially with only one feeding in them.

picture.php

i aint gonna lie.. i didnt get to anymore framing yet :blowbubbles: but thats alright, we got us a couple more weeks til we really need to be in those rooms anyways. For the time being we have setup our temporary veg room in an empty bed room, space aint an issue. We did a mess of cleaning this week, scrubbing/bleaching down lights, buckets, cloners, rooms, pots and the likes.. but it's all worth it when we have a bug free environment!

So next up is getting these babies out of the solo cups and into 1.5g pots. The soil mix has been cooking for 3 weeks now, so it should be nice and active.. just to make sure we added some 'white widdow' to the bottom of transplant holes, its a bunch of strains of bene bacteria, my buddy seems to like it so we are giving it a whirl.

picture.php

Alright, once they were transplanted we moved them into the repurposed bunk bed v2.0 :tiphat: Lets see, inside this bunk bed veg cab we have a 400w MH, a 90w Blue spectrum LED UFO, and 80w of T12 plant lighting. The 400w MH is hung over the left side of the crop, and the 90w blue spectrum UFO is over the right side. We are hoping to compare differences in growth over the next couple weeks. I would love to be able to get behind LEDs and invest in and solely use them, but I am just not confident the technology is there yet. The nm put out by the LEDs arent quite perfect for plant growth, close but not optimal.. once someone actually puts out LEDs at the correct wave length i'm all over it.

picture.php

picture.php

Yup, as you can see we've done some bondage.. or starting to at least. Gave them a nice bend, not a pinch yet, when we were transplanting - tomorrow the tech is going to get some soft pipe cleaners to give em a correct LST. Alright, just so you know when looking thru the pics:

Everything labeled 'NL' = pre98bk x nl5/haze
Everything labeled 'Skunk' = skunk1
Everything labeled 'Flow13xApe11' = a really high garden tech :blowbubbles: they are SUPPOSED to be labeled F13 x Apollo11

Lets see.. we also started germinating 5 Skywalker OG tonight, 2 more Skunk1, 8 more Honey White bx2, and a g13 x chem4 bean. looks like our blue cheese never made it outa the dirt ;( but thats alright, i think id rather be running a stinkier line of cheese -- i want that buttered cheesy croissant bakery smell in my garden!

Oh ya.. 1 more thing...... it was stiiiiiinky as my dogs butt in there! Haven't had little ones stink like this since probably the diesels i ran a few years back, but even those werent this bad i feel like... well it aint bad i guess haha. Suffice it to say, we hooked up a carbon scrubber to start cleaning the air .. problem solved.
