Is circular scrog possible?

G

I was wondering if it was possible to do a circular scrog (not spinning)

I have illustrated my idea below.

possible ? yes.
reasonable ? unless you have height limitation in you grow area, i cant see why its better then a VSCROG.

for start you have less access to buds and the air movement (much easier to make the hot air go up and out) will be better in a vscrog.

Should i then just make the half-circle and keep reflectors on my cooltube?

why don't you do it vertically ?
this is what i did ( and i am very unskilled in DIY stuff) :

3 plants creating perfect tube around the bulb.
you can do it with 2, 3, 4 and more.

My cabinet is 120cm wide, 85cm deep and 180cm tall.

Wouldn't the colosseum scrog be better suited for a square room?

With my idea, i figured i would have easier access to the plants

hmm I go with jungo, look at a v-scrog or weed doughnut unless your just set on being "different" which is ok, I don;t think a lot of us are going to have much experience with that particular design though...good luck!

But if you do the math:

My current flat scrog net is: 85*120= approximately 1 sq. meter

With the circle: 3,14* 1(diameter of the circle) * 0,85= 2,6 sq. meter.

It has nothing to do with being different. I just want to get the highest yield possible.

Your setup depends on the power of your HPS, and your strains ;) Without more informations, it's hard to help you

you can still do the circle but the vertical way.
with your setup, how will you make the plants stretch up ?

I do not want it rotating.

I want it as a normal v-scrog, but with a complete circle and without reflector ofc.

Your plants will be conflicted between two different attractions. They want to grow upwards in a direction opposite to the pull of gravity. They also want to grow towards light, which in this case will be downward for a considerable portion of the plant. Doesn't mean it won't work. DHF often recommends hanging a chicken wire ceiling above vertical grows. Give it a try and tell us how it turns out.

There have been lots of mini vert scrogs, try searching the forums, I've seen lots over the years, I think there is someone in the Italian or Czech forum that done a great run or 2 with an improvised mini vert scrog although I could be thinking back to the overgrow days.

but the colas in a flat or dished/v scrog will pack together much more efficiently than in a completely vert one.

With 600w, why don't you simply use walls as a scrog (like last marlo's setup)? Maybe a DIY light mover for the farest sides but you can use the whole allowed space of your cabinet.
