Anyone have advice or experience with germinating the femmed Paradise sensi star seeds. I soaked them in water for 20 hours and placed in peat pellets in plastic dome. They are under a 400 watt MH around 16 inches above dome. My Nirvana AKs are slow but now breaking shell. My bubblelicious are not showing along with sensi star. Female seeds C99 hybrid has shown tail. Placed in peat pellets on 11-15-11, how much longer should I wait before putting different seeds in peat pellets. thanks,:thank you:

I need to add I have the timer set on 18 on 6 off. Should I go to 24 on until the seeds crack and start growing?

I stopped using peat pellets to germinate in, after initially liking them. They hold a lot of water, and I suspect that seeds can drown in them if they get too wet. Not sure if thats your issue, but just wanted to throw that out there. I started using straight promix, and have had renewed 99.9% success with 2-4 days germination after a 24 hour soak.

Dear skullznroses, Thanks for the tip. I took the cover off the dome and will let the peat pellets dry out before adding any more water at this point. If this does not help the seed start then I will start another 10 seeds after a soak. The next 2 or 3 days will be crucial, I really don't want to lose these AKs,bubblelicious, and sensi star seeds. Peace and respect.

might wanna cool the 400 for a couple 20w flos.. your gonna give them babes a sunburn.. I pop my seeds in rapid rooters rather then peat plugs.. use to use the plugs but better results with rapid rooters FWIW:tiphat:

I want to thank you fellow farmers for your tips. The 400 MH is very hot, in the past I germed with flouresent bulbs, don't know why I changed this time. Started WWxBB and C99 Hybrid seeds. Moved lamp up from dome and water every 12 hours. Seeds starting to break open and tap root showing. I will keep up the watering every 12 hours, so far so good on these new female seeds.

I now have 4 C99 hybrids, 4 WWxBB,and 2 BW sprouts in their first week above ground. They have been transplanted into red beer cups, with bottom holes in organic soil and a pinch of garden lime. I have the 400 watt MH about a foot and half above the little ones. I am still disappointed that my nirvana aks, bubblelicious, and sensi star seeds failed to germ. The Nirvana's were from late 2009,and sensi star from 2010 purchases. I still have two ice cream and two white berry in the freezer and will attempt to germ them next grow. I now have all female seeds in my grow. I need to be more careful when using the 400 watter MH in germing for future grows, or attach longer chains to my floros so I can use them to germ. Thanks for the interest and I'm excited about my upcoming hot chicks from female seeds.
