Hydro bubblers in Dark Room

I just got Secret Jardins Dark Room II 90 growing tent with 400w spna and ventilation system with active carbon filter and cooltube. I´m going to grow Chimera´s Fighting Buddha in hydro bubbler system.

I need help deciding how many plants to grow and how big reservoirs to buy. The tent is 90cm x 90cm x 180cm. I´ve got 4 clones of FB, 8 airstones, airpump with 4 outputs of 200l/h, leca gravel and four 6 litre airpots that i´m going to use instead of net pots. I will top and tie.

Can´t wait to get to train my girls! :thank you:

I like where you are headed with the APs. I am using lava rock, which retains moisture between drains. Consider putting APs inside a mortar mixing tub (HD/Lowes). Install a 1.4 bulk head drain fitting and raise it higher than your outboard rez.

I´m not sure if I understood you right but this:

Personally id use nets pots not airpots, 4 plants if fine for that size tent, depends on how you grow them really. 200lph pump(liter per hour), is no good ime, get a bigger one mate. like minimum 40lpm(litre per minute), well worth ya time doing that, id get a 60lpm.
Maybe look into RDWC, or 1-2 tote bubblers. even Oxypots might serve you well!

the grow in the link is ok, but id change a bit, icluding the Rena airstones, their shit really for the money. get flat disc stones for ya bubbler buckets, if you go with them!!

how about a simple DIY tote ,like this one:

70 litre static res, went from 10lpm pump to a 70lpm just into bloom, you just gotta figure out how to empty & fill, simple!

The pump is actually 800l/h it´s just 200l/h per output. I bought it from the headshop and the seller said it would be enough. The model is Hailea aco-2206. I was planning to do just 2 bubblers with big buckets. Is it okay to buy buckets that just fit to the tent or when does it get too big?

I have already bought the airstones and airpots and don´t have money for new gear for awhile.

I wouldnt bother with the airpots mate, how high do they stand, you'll be losing alot of solution unless you use really deep buckets. bummer you have no cash. 800lph is a lil on the light side mate, ok for veg, but not really for bloom imo, you might get away with it(with smaller plants), use Oxy+ too. what nutes you gonna run?

Yeah I thought that the airpots are too high. There is not too much height in the tent. I try to find net pots but they are hard to get in here. Maybe I have to do them myself. I might buy addiotional pump when I have more money. I have GHE Flora set.

id get netpots mate, they only cheap, & they'll save you from potential headaches imo. GHF, sound, what recipe are you gonna follow? GH's charts? you might wanna check Lucas formula out, just using Micro & Bloom(+ additives) for the whole grow. or check out Spurr's take on the 3 part.(he's sadly banned but his thread/numbers are still about)

you got alot more work to do if you wanna turn DrD's simple take on DWC into a RDWC & its gonna cost ya! pump, res, tube ducting, parts etc etc.

if i was in your position, id run static totes or Oxypots/buckets & see how you get on! you should be cool(literally) running a cool tube.

Oh & a little dedicated fan on ya airpump's intake/outake will help keep it & your res's cool, that a nice tip!

G'Luck mate!

Have to check those recipes out! Thank you for pointing them out! I´m not sure where you got the idea i´m going to turn that DWC in to RDWC? Perhaps it´s because of my bad english? The plan is to make 2 DWC grows in 20-50 litre buckets. Does it fill the tent if properly growed?

You mentioned a seperate Res in an earlier post, seemed you were angling toward recirculation, my mistake.

DWC fill ya tent it will @ quite an astonishing rate, why its such a popular method, i luv DWC.

The 4 plant tote i pictured earlier was just a plastic storage tub with 70-80 litre capacity, i cut out holes in the lid for netpots & a door rougly 8" x 6" for easy access/top-ups & change outs, also i left a 2" window strip in the front(mylar covered window), with 10 & 5 litre measured increments stuck with velcro, so i can check solution levels daily. fills 1m2 in no time, the buckets would do the same, more hassle topping up & changing out, why i grow in totes"! the more solution capacity you have the more stable your solution will be, another reason why i grow in totes, better overall solution temps too.

G'luck!
