If would be so kind as to answer a couple of quick questions, please? :D
I assure you it will help us greatly. :D

Thanks!

SOIL:

How long has this problem been going on?
What STRAIN are you growing?
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)
What is the age of your plants?
How long have they been in the soil mixture they are in now?
Were they in the same mixture when they were seedlings/smaller plant? If not, what mixture were they in before?
How Tall are the plants?
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in?
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc)
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot)
What substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?)
What brand Nutrient's are you using?
How much of each nutrient are you using with how much water? *Knowing the brand is very helpful*
How often are you feeding?
If flowering, when did you switch over to using Bloom nutrients?
What order are you mixing your nutrients? (example: veg nutes 1st, bloom 2nd ect)
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used?
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"?
How often are you testing pH/ppm/EC/TDS?
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen?
How often are you watering?
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding?
What size bulb are you using?
How old is your bulbs?
What is the distance to the canopy?
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity)

Tell us about your ventilation, intake exhaust and when its running and not running ?
Is the fan blowing directly at plants?
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist?
Is your water HARD or SOFT?
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water?
If using tap water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS of the water right out of the tap?(Only if you have a tds pen)
If using RO,Distilled, mineral water, what is the ppm/EC/TDS without any additives?(Only if you have a tds pen)
Are you using water from a water softener?
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when?
Are plant's infected with pest's?

could be:
ph-related,
overfeeding.
imo.

could very well be ph as im giving spring water but i know its not overfeeding unless its the soil burning the plant because of its time released nutes in it.

Check your bottle of spring water for one.... does it have any salts listed?

I have to say I'm not that experienced with MG in general.... other than the times I've used it I've transplanted as soon as possible. It's generally hotter than cannabis likes and needs better pH buffering.

Have you read up on the MG threads on the boards here? That would be my first place to start... there are definitely growers using this dirt. :D

Stay Safe! :D

I was using NESTLE pure life and on there website it says
NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® is balanced with essential minerals - such as calcium and magnesium - with a low salt content.

I have since stopped using that and am now using poland spring bottled water. (simply because thats the type of water bottles bought for the house)

I cant find any ingredients in the poland spring water but according to this article it has a ph level of 5 which seems pretty low.

Some of the bottom leaves are starting to yellow also. this is most likely due to nitrogen deficiency right?

As far as the soil the only things ive heard about MG are bad things. I used it because it was easily available and pretty cheap.

Im going to read through some MG threads now and see if i can find any useful info or if something similar also happened to someone else.

Thanks!:tiphat:

The holes could be something eating them (I can't get the pix big enough to make out clearly). The crepey texture and twisting is a sign that this particular plant isn't happy with the pH range of the media. It doesn't appear to be overfed to me.

I suggest topdressing with Dolomite lime or similar (provides Ca & Mg) as well as worm castings for 'soft' N. You can also try a light feed with a liquid seaweed or kelp product, I like Growmore and MaxiCrop, but any sea smelling product will do.

As for the rest of it, without being able to test pH, you're at a disadvantage.

Highly recommend getting a pH tester... even if it's just the drops kit. (I used one of those for years. :D )

The holes actually look like pH damaged leaves that have grown out... the hole appears because part of the leaf doesn't grow properly and the hole stretches open.

Stay Safe! :D

Sorry the pic with the holes is terrible it wouldnt focus on the right spot. I fed it some Schultz 10-60-10 plant food for now. i know this is for bloom but its all i have at the moment and i figured getting that nitrogen in there will help. im going to get some dolo lime on my next big trip to home depot. btw this is also my first time feeding this plant. Im going to try and get a PH test within the next week or two.
Thanks alot man!

Hi sour smoker,

Just my 2 cents mate. Any problem or negative change that I see in regards to leaf discoloration or leaf erosion and the first thing I do is flush the medium thoroughly (I mean really thorough) and let the plant drink fresh water until the top of the medium is dry.

Next feed I would reduce nutrient by about 20% (if no ppm meter is available to check salt)

Usually 7-14 days (strain dependent) to recover from nutrient/PH related leaf burn. In my cases that have been similar I have been able to nurse back to great health and vigor.

I would also check my water source (filtered or rain water for me) and check for intoxicants and also (if you using city water) check how hard/soft water is.

There are many more knowledgeable folks on here than me that may tell you I'm completely wrong. I'm only suggesting what I would do in your situation, and looking at your pics I think I've encountered this a few times.

Good luck nursing them Soursmoker... I'm sure they will turn out fine and award you with some tasty flowers.

I actually gave them there first feeding yesterday, after over a month of veg. I figured since i had never fed the discoloration was them asking for food. I gave them a small amount to start out. Thanks for the advice though man!
