20 years ago today my father died, woke up this morning really down. Guess I will get a 12 of his favorite beer and celebrate his life.

cheers bro, here's to your father.:friends:
a little over ten since mine passed. i know that drinking doesn't help, perhaps a few bowls will suffice.
the life you choose to lead celebrates his life...

...i'm a blackout drinker so drinking to celebrate something or other is counterintuitive to me...just sayin'.

peace be with you.

Fattz my good mate, as the sand falls down the hourglass somehow we learn to live with our loss, but losing your beloved Dad, I know, is something you can never fully move on from... over a decade for me, two decades for you ... but those happy memories are forever, and you and I Fattz... we're very lucky mate, because unlike some we do have those memories, we did have that time with our Dads, and nobody can take that from us... :)

lost both my parents 8 months from each other in very tragic ways

i never thought i would get past the pain to a proper place of understanding

then i woke to understand that I was their hereafter and and the state of my happiness would reflect their relatively eternal existence and that ultimately my happiness was simply paramount for them to live on in me properly

not their measure of happy but my own

i hope this brings you some measure of peace so make it good beer, think happy thoughts and dont forget about bobby and phil :)

Yup ... parents just want their kids to be happy and free :) ... and as their children and all they've done to help raise us to adulthood that's the least we can do to honor them! :)
