after many years growing all sorts of strains i came across something special ,this we named the nap ,nap is a indica dominant plant with tight growth mega trichome productions and a knock out hit it came from a mystery pack of seeds ,it reminds me so much of old school hindu kush it has to be part of that line .this stuff is so strong not for the light smoker .

the haze santa maria father
while in amsterdam many years ago i was sat at a nice coffee shop enjoying a joint of some dank hazey lemony herb when i looked down at the bag to find 3 seeds ..i later found out it was a haze x santa maria properly a amnesia he said .NOT the soma amnesia . when getting home i started these seeds and found 2 males and one female ,the female had that same dank smell hazey lemons so out of the 2 males i used the one that had the same growth pattern and leaf structure as the female he had a nice stink too ..

these two strains combine together so well .the result is a indica sativa hybrid with mega crystal production and low flower time from the mother and a zesty dankness from the father,making the mantis .when i made this cross i also used the male on my galactic smurf female so making the smurf at the same time
the smurf and mantis was some of my first real breeding project all the rest before that was pollen chucking, here i had goals which i had met .

f1 to f2
i started 50 mantis f1 seeds and from these i selected the best males and females i ended up with 3 strong males which really did stink and 8 females which stood out from the rest ..from the females we ended up keeping 3, we had a smoke out all the females had labels a b c d e f g h.. everyone had a score sheet to mark them down .c ,g,and h cam out top
in the end i settled on one female and one male then making the f2 generation

out of 20 seeds started 5 came out like no1 , 5 came out like no3 , 4 came out like no2 and i had 3 of each of no4 and no5

from the f2 genaration iam getting more variation in growth iam getting short and tall phenos but all look more sativa in leaf structure id say about 80 -90persent are lemoney limey ..so more pheno in growth instead of smell. the f2 s came out more stable than i exspected

heres some pictures of the f2 genaration grown and photoed by ocannabis .and this is what he said

I already made some hash just last night as a matter of fact lol.I am smoking some now to and I can tell you the smoke is thick and power full and oh so tasty.I'll be smoking a lot of this while the buds are curing hehe.

I'm back with the latest and final chapter of this log.I harvested 2 weeks ago and it's all jar'd up now and curing.

Harvest
I harvested between 63 to 67 days and a couple of girls could have went a tad longer making these about 8-9 weeks and 10 weeks if you want to be a couch potato lol.

Structure
The plants grow like a 50/50 India/sativa mix.They look like a sativa but the branch's grow closer to the main trunk and also pointing slightly up ward's.The leave's are long and slender and a deep green in color.The flower's are shaped like a sat. but the leaves are a little thicker.

While I was trimming them up the scissors they were making that sniping sound that you get while trimming like an Indica.You know the sound I am talking about ! snip snip
Trichome glands are thick and plenty full right down to the tips of the leaves closest to the flower.Even some of the larger fan leaves had glands on them NICE.It's also very sticky and gooey.While trimming them the scissors were getting pretty gummed up and I had to clean them frequently which is not a bad thing right lol mmmmm "scissor hash" yummy

Aroma's
The fragrance's from the Mantis is mostly Lemon's with plenty of spiciness and as bannana Man stated to me once was "FUNK". It's hard to describe but it's a unique smell unto itself.
