hello people. I joined the site because I'm eager to learn and use all the skills available to me to be able to grow my medicine since it has become very hard for me to attain and acquire due to financial straits. Currently I'm running a cfl microgrow with 6 plants, I have started from seed. I have just weeded out 3 males and will be preparing to bring in some new clones soon. The strains were started from bagseed of my own collection which were strawberry cough, hindu kush (i have a couple more left), green crack and an unlabeled strain which I believe is skywalker. The only obvious female has been the skywalker, so far. The growspace is a little over 3 ft. sq. with a movable partition, under 156 watts (the other half is off), customized ventilation (no scent control yet). The soil was some leftover miracle grow from last year but I will be using different materials for the clones that I plan to get soon in order to control nutes.

I may start a grow log once my clones become mothers and the perpetual system begins. I hope to learn alot from everyone here and will offer any help, suggestions or comments as well. I'm not an expert or grow guru of any sort, just a dude who loves bud.

Wazup yall? lol thanks to everyone again for showing some love to the new guy. I'm not really a forums guy but I like what I see here so I'll be in and out with the small talk.
@Cmobile69 I've been looking for a strain from the sfv called "Luke Skywalker", the original OG Kush, or so I've heard. Well, "they" say it's from Florida but was only available in a shop in West L.A. for years under the name of Luke Skywalker. I grew up on OG kush and attest to it being one of the best herbs known to me. I've tried a few different Skywalker's but the first one was the best(could be the one). Now if only I would remember where I got it? lol.. jk. I know the place but have not been around and can not go pick a clone anytime soon (if it's available). I have found some places around me that offer the strain although I have not throughly investigated the origin (could be dp strain). As for now, I remember one time I bought a bag of bud from a dispensary around here, I usually buy only top shelf, and I found a seed (one[1]) so I saved it hoping it would grow into a beautiful plant one day. And it did.. She has just started to flower although she is only 3-3.5 inches tall. I believe her to be a Skywalker strain of unknown origin, but it was some good bud so dp or old school og, she's here to grow!!! lol I will take some pics and post them as soon as I can since I keep forgetting to. Maybe you guys can give me some tips on how she's doing?

be forewarned, while I was moving my plants around one leaf was touching a cfl for less than a minute but it turned it to a crisp(not immediately) and they are 23w bulbs so that myth is BUSTED! Although I always knew it wasn't a good idea, I had an accident. Boo moogerfoogin hoo, my baby is alright tho.

Hey guys just took some shots with my phone and although they are not the clearest, they will have to do.

The first is the only one of my babies that has been female so far. The second is a hindu kush. Third is Strawberry Cough. Fourth pic is of all 3.

The soil could be runnin out of nutes because it's a time release mix from miracle grow and I have not wanted to overfeed with a dedicated nute solution so I've been adding a bit of urine to the water to increase nitrogen since some leaves were turning yellow. As you can see, the leaves on the skywalker are dark green because the soil was still pretty high in nutes but low enough to cause slight yellowing. The Hindu Kush turned a really nice green and has recovered very nicely, but the Strawberry is looking quite wimpy still. The problem with that one might be that when I first loaded the soil in the cup, I saw a worm, grub type bug and didn't remove it because I thought it could be beneficial, but now that I think of it, it looked like a white catterpillar or something like that so it might be chompin away at the roots. It must be able to hold its breath or breathe under water because that's the only reason I can think of why this plant is so weak. I mean it's growing but really SLOWLY.
