weed in cuba?where the cubans at?

I'd rather stick to cigars when in Cuba!!
I went there with some spanish-speaking friends in 2002.Happily we brought some of our stash, but we had the occasion to smoke some herb over there.
Well, we called it "pepper", as every sample we smoked frm different towns had the same peppery smell, and the looks too:dark, old, seeded, crumbled with the stems, never seen a proper BUD....The weed was shit to say the least and totally overpriced (that I could have figured out even before going there!!).The cubans themselves smoked it pure with delight,wrapped in horrid news'paper, inhaling it in the nose...eeeerrrkkk. Rolling paper is a luxury thing over there...the weed was said to come frm Jamaica, where all dealers told us they had family over there...CLARO!
Well, I loved this country very much, and the cubans too, great people really, don't get me wrong, but honestly don't go there fr weed, it has plenty other things to offer...stellar cigars, mojitos, rhums (not like the Bacardi crap fr Yanks!!lol), Cubanitas, mad sceneries, fishing etc....

Cuba is such a weird place, there's bound to be some backwater wasteground somewhere with wicked landrace genetics and imported varieties, like Havanese dogs, spanish origins but mostly lost to the world outside Cuba

Cuba is such a weird place, there's bound to be some backwater wasteground somewhere with wicked landrace genetics and imported varieties, like Havanese dogs, spanish origins but mostly lost to the world outside Cuba

All the cuban growers are in Miami, some are even in Oakland or Denver

I was born in cuba and finally was able to return there to visit, I was able to stay with my family there in Havana (what is left of them). as far as herb, there is very little of it on the island and what there is very poor quality. as my cousins down there told me, you DO NOT want to have a drug possession beef in cuba.

Im was born in CUBA and by experience cuban weed is grown largely in the island of youth they are located in the mountains you could probably meet a local islander and ask him where you can find some everybody knows everybody over there so you will get an answear.
