hey buddaluva..
relax, its normal that the first set of leaves is not so lush.. often they die off some time later.
with young plants always look for the shoot to judge if she is doing well or not.

The PH of 5.5 may be a little low for that particular strain. Try uping your PH a point or so and see if it doesn't stop from happening on new growth. Of course the leaves that already have the spots the spots wont go away but you should not get any new ones. To low a PH will also cause the leaves to be dryer like and more brittle. Hope this helps.

Magnesium. Need more. Dissolve epsom salts in warm water 2 tbsp per 5g of reservoir... Used to work for me and was a cheap solution...

Whats your tap water like ?You may need to be adding calmag even if its at low doses .and i would up the PH to 5.8 & see if that helps at all . some nutes are Not excepted by the plants at a PH that low .

if your ph isn't off then you are seeing the beginning of potassium K deficiency.

i see you listed your pH at 5.5 that's too low. bring it closer to 6.

Are you using tap water? IMO, doesn't look like Mg def because you don't have yellowing between the leaf veins. IMO, doesn't look like K def because it's not along the margins. If your water is tap it could be due to impurities.

I agree the pH could be bumped up to ~5.8. A working pH range is better than static.

Every pH number locks out something. For this reason we want pH to swing. Most say 5.5-6.0, many say as low as 5.2.

It may be you're mag deficient, it could be you're mag maxed but, locked out from bad pH.

That said you're withholding vital information. We need to know pH and EC both. One without the other is meaningless. Where does your water come from? What are it's EC and pH. What is the EC and pH of the solution. How have EC and pH moved everyday in the last week? (You do keep daily readings in your journal, right?)

Rusty spots are due to a calcium issue. Either lock out or your plants aren't getting enough.
Get your ph in check, and start adding cal mag at a light/medium dose.
If it were a mg issue there would be inter-veinal yellowing, IMO.

im glad i use organics. i got tired of phing, tdsing. now i just add the appropriate strength and thats it. certainly looks like calcium deficiency.

so i was having the same issue, and due to my hard water from the tap (was very high in ca) i was having ca toxicity! best to check your water, i now use 1/2 RO water and 1/2 tap. hydro-soil pointed me in this direction but best to get your water tested first before you make adjustments for something you dont really know what the initial problem is which could lead to more issues!

It is just tap water / out my kitchen sink

The ph from my tap is 8.0 so i use G.H ph up and down to adjust my ph

It is a small res , just a little over a half gallon

The ph does not stay stable and goes up to 6.3 through out the night so when i get up in the mourning i have to adjust it back down

Im sorry idk what EC is and i do not have a ppm tester either but im about to order one

I change out the res about every 2 to 3 days and use 1/2 strength of that maxibloom

Here is a pic to give you an idea about the size of my res , like i said its just a little over a 1/2 gallon , maybe 3/4 of a gallon

I would check that when you get the meter, I find it tends to get high unless your checking it often. I get the same thing when my EC gets too high. I cut the EC of my last crop by 25% and I didn't have any burn like above. I did get a bit when I cranked up the ppm for flowering. Looked just like that.
