watering mistake

I have a single bucket dwc. I have been running 24/0 for the entire veg process. Last night I installed a timer for the ballast to change the timer to 12/12. I set my watch to remind me to go and check to make sure the timer kicked off and kicked on. Everything is great.

Well, almost great. I moved my plant in it's net pot to a bucket with no water and no air stone as temporary placement while I tested the water last night. I forgot to put the plant back into the res for almost 16 hours. 12 of those 16 lights were without light but did I screw up big time? The plant looks droopy and a little stressed so I misted the leaves. Any other ideas as to how to help this poor soul?

thats a really longs time for dry roots.... best you can do is put it back and dont stress it. if its not dead tomorrow morning you should be ok.

dude i'm not tryin to bust balls but i found that i needed to stop smoking before i did my gardening ..... it makes for ALOT less mistakes :)

hope your plant comes out ok .

i usually do my plant work with a bowl always handy. some times i forget to plug a pump in, but when im home i check the grow often and i always check everything before i leave.

dansbuds is hilarious if that is true I would get better grades on my tests if i didnt medicate before hand? What fun is that though lol...

16 fckin hours though is a long time even for a stoner, how are you gonna get medicated if you crop dies because you forgot to water it lol

sorry man, i think 16 hrs is a very long time.. you are going to see a different in your yield

I guess we all make mistakes sometimes in our gardens, as long as we learn from it. Good luck hope your plant comes back round, I find cannabis plants can really take a beating and come back. They just need time.

you'll notice changes (both negative and positive) way quicker in hydro applications, so as somebody else mentioned, if all is well by tomorrow you should be in the clear. Honestly I've seen friends build DWC/SWC buckets without any idea what they're doing and without any help and far worse has happened...their plants still finished strong. You'll be fine man. Best of luck.

Thanks everyone as of today the plant is alive. Of course the plant is stressed but this plant is tough. I got really scared for a minute there. I don't really care too much about the yield because I want to clone this gal.

glad to hear she made it! these plants are tough man, i too have left pumps off before (not for near as long) but they always come back. i think its been a year since i lost so much as a clone to anything other than me being picky and tossing ones i done like the look of =] (knock on wood)

if the plant was in water the whole time it will be alright. i have a plant sitting in my window with roots in water 24/7 for over a year and a half now.

not in water at all. just sitting in an empty bucket...it actually grew a bit today. I'm completely surprised.
