ok, this is rough. use that 10" on a controller if need be, better yet put it in a small plywood box filled with insulation. use insulated ducting for sound also.

8" hoods obviously best. i've run convoluted lines before, just need enough static pressure strength and hang the duct from the ceiling so as to avoid dips and shit. best of luck

shiet maybe i should have gone with 8in hoods...thanks for all the suggestions guys, but for now im leaving 2 of the hoods off the AC, mostly because its been so damn cold lately that i need every possible degree of heat. wont have warm weather for a good 8 months so il procrastinate on this untill later lol...

so now both sides of the room are set up with flood trays...on the left side of the room, from L to R, is Pittbull Kush, SFVOGxCD (both from REZ)...right tray is True Blueberry. on the right side of the room is animal cookies first (2 weeks flower) and SFV OG far right corner (4-5weeks flower)

still lots of work that has to be done. the trays are too high, so im gonna swap out the sawhorses for adjusable ones of the same brand. i should have just bought the adjustables in the first place.....the plants are getting too close to the lights and are suffering from minor heat stress.

also swapping out the can filter for an AirBox 4 which is way lighter and easier to replace...

Why don't you just run a big enough mini split to cool your room with out air cooling the lights? I run 10kW and 2 24k BTU mini splits, a Dri Eaz Evolution dehum and a Co2 burner and the mini splits keep things perfectly in check. I bet with 1 24k BTU heat pump unit your room will be perfect.

i wanted to do that but my electrical cant fit any big ACs at the moment since im runnig the santa fe dehuey..

havent had any heat issues lately though...things might change when temps rise during the summer but i might be shutting down the indoor room or just running 1-2 lights since i will be primarily be doing outdoor...

but yea there was a plan in the works to upgrade all my electrical and add a 3ton mini split...but that 5 grand had to be invested in my outdoor grow...

why are you doing away with the top drip that drains to waste? i currently do flood and drain and am going to try it.

also, why are your plants so spindly looking? my mothers under my t-8's and my flowering room plants have huge trunks and i'm only growing in maybe 3 gal buckets

FWIW my 24k BTU heat pump pulls about 17 amps when it is maxed out. Now that out door is done you should sink some of that coin in to your indoor room and really turn out some top shelf buds before summer hits so you can be sitting NICE when the prices go up! Now is the time to stockpile that high grade!

I noticed from your pictures that you do not run too many fans in your room...Why is that? I have a 11x20 room and I have 10 12" fans on the wall and feel like I need more!

yea im adding two wallmounts..i had some regular fans but i took them out for the picture...i have a big run of cookie teens that are waiting to go in hopefully pull down a harvest right before i gotta head up north and work on the outdoor plots..

some of the plants look spindly because i lollipop the shit out of them... also the strains are mostly OG kush which has viney branches..

So.. im curious.. why youd wanna use 2 mini splits at the tune of around 30amps when you could air cool and get away with one mini split and only use 15-17amps.. I guess if you dont have anymore space and have plenty of power how it could be worth it.. but doesnt it seem more expensive to run 2 splits then, clean your lenses every 2 months and just run air cooled fans that would only use up a couple amps?

i think the double mini split idea was for someone elses room...

i was going to install a new dedicated circuit and run a 3ton split, price tag was gonna be around 5-6k for electrical and install. the room was already running pretty good at the time so i decided to invest in another project...the temps in my area are very forgiving 60s-70s daily and 50s at night...usually its colder so the AC would only be working during summer months..

another problems is that the noise would probably attract the neighbors. 2 neighbors are kind of close to the wall where it would be installed, possibly growers (one house is always dark, the other has used fox farms bags in their yard)

im still exploring options, like maybe installing the AC in the lung room where my timerbox, intake, and watering setup is located..

Yea I was sayin' I ran two mini splits and suggesting that Yes Prop run one sized correctly for his grow...This was based off my experiences both air cooling and using a lot of A/C.

Even though the A/Cs are on 30 amp breakers, I've put amp meters on both of them when the compressors are maxing and they pull 17 amps. So 34 amps for 4 tons of A/C with no ducting to have condensation in it, lenses to clean...Not to mention there is glass blocking the light or requiring cleaning is what I'm doing right now. I'm trading doing more lights for having the perfect climate for a few less lights....Just my preference and opinion after tinkering around inside for the last 8 years or so...My current set up is the culmination of where I've wanted to go with my indoor growing
