I'm not going to lie but it is a lot of work. Each store takes 2-3 hours. I personally don't do it much. I only do it when my girl comes home all pissed about how some manager treated her so I go back to be an asshole and take shit from them legally. My girl is a different story. She is addicted to this no question. It's all she thinks about from when she wakes up. I don't even get breakfast from her anymore cause she's out the door in full force. It's like a drug to her. She get some high off of scamming them and it's funny. I can't complain cause it gets her out of the house for hours and I get free shit out of it. Every day I feel like I won the lottery.

You are hitting dumb-asses then...a bar code takes the place of a price tag...as long as it is posted on the shelf--

here in Minnesota (see how EASY it is to reveal your state w/out revealing anything else???) they DO NOT price each item, shelves are tagged w/a price and that's that; of course smaller shops w/out hi-tech scanning registers do mark their items and if you do happen to find an item that has been marked UP they will usually honor the lower price.

if I were to run around fucking stores out of $$$ every day I'd be ashamed of myself, a $20 bag of dog food probably cost the store well over $15, maybe even $17; are you still proud of yourself? Do you know why that store will never be able to hire competent help, they can't afford to w/customers like you.

When you 'liberate' ONE bag of dog food you have taken the profit out of the next 4 or 5 bags they sell, take 6 bags for free one day & you've stolen the profit from the entire dog food section for the day.

I'll bet you guys run through the shelves even looking at shit you normally wouldn't buy just to find a mistake to capitalize on.

You make me sick.

In a single day they might handle 3 or 4 price complaints or issues like you point out but it's hosers like you that throw the fuck stick into the works effecting everyone down the line.

It would be like your insurance company saying to you, "gee we feel badly you have cancer Mr Cheapskate but do you see where you forgot to dot the 'i' and cross the 't' in your application? we'd really like to help you but now after having you reapply it falls under the ''preexisting condition'' clause.

Does that sound fair to a guy like you???????

karma's a bitch dude, I'd say it's time to re-evaluate your standards.

I'm sure this has already been said I didnt read the whole thread but.... IS THIS GUY H20'S BROTHAA? lol actually thats a pretty cool trick though man, but I'm in Canada and doubt I can pull that shit here. Although I'd probably rather just pay for my food like an honest, hard working person rather then go have to bitch with customer service pulling out law books for hours looking like a cheap sneaky loser to every hard working person in the store and wasting the time of everyone that actually NEEDs customer service and not someone trying to beat the system to save money on food. And everyone is correct in saying the more profits the store loses the more they raise prices, but I guess you dont care because you get free food. Hasn't the grocery store banned you by now? Or do you just go to different ones as much as you can...? I'd never let you in my store, do you have any idea how hard it would be for massive chain stores to keep up with that price tag bullshit? You can't expect people to be perfect, how would you like someone fucking you around like that buddy?

People like you make me sick too. You choose to grow a plant that is federally illegal. Karma is going to kick your ass. At least this is legal. And your right I got dog food up the ass and I don't have a dog. And if you havnt heard yet, insurance companies fuck people all the time and deny coverage. That's why mom and aunt are in massive debt.

if that makes you sick then maybe you should consider getting the fuck out of here.

You are a simple minded twit that either missed the point or chose to ignore it, I'll spell it out for you now though.

point being the store would GLADLY have honored the lower price for you but you CHOOSE to fuck them out of their stock completely w/a technicality.

The insurance analogy was to show you how a petty mistake SHOULD NOT cost you anything.

do you have an issue with your mommys insurance co??? then don't take it out on your fellow consumers and your local grocer.

Oh it works in Canada too. Here's the deal with it

"The Competition Bureau is a federal law enforcement agency responsible for administration and enforcement of the Competition Act, as well as three labelling acts: the Consumer Packaging and Labelling Act, the Textile Labelling Act and the Precious Metals Marking Act. Its role is to promote and maintain fair competition so that Canadians can benefit from competitive prices, product choice and quality services.

The Bureau has endorsed the Scanner Price Accuracy Voluntary Code, which evolved from the collaborative efforts of the Retail Council of Canada, the Canadian Association of Chain Drug Stores, the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers and the Canadian Council of Grocery Distributors. These associations are composed of national, regional and local retailers selling a wide assortment of general merchandise, as well as pharmaceutical and food products.

This Code, implemented in June 2002, applies to all scanned Universal Product Code (UPC), bar coded, and/or Price Look Up (PLU) merchandise sold in all participating stores, with the exception of goods such as prescription drugs which are not easily accessible to the public and price-ticketed items.

Purpose of the Code

The purpose of the Code is to:

Visibly demonstrate retailer commitment to scanner price accuracy;
Provide retailers with a consistent national framework for dealing with scanner price accuracy issues; and
Provide the retail industry with a mechanism for consumer redress in scanner price accuracy cases, to be managed by a Scanner Price Accuracy Committee.
Key Features of the Code

The Item Free Scanner Policy – The Retailers' Promise of Price Accuracy.

If the scanned price of a non-price ticketed item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the item free, up to a $10 maximum. When the item has a price tagged, the lowest price applies. When identical items are incorrectly priced, the second one will be sold at the correct price.

What does the Code cover?

The Code covers all scanned merchandise at participating retail outlets where this sign is displayed at the store entrance or checkout.

Scanning Code of Practice

If the scanned price of a non-price item is higher than the shelf price or any other displayed price, the customer is entitled to receive the first item free, up to a $10 maximum. If a Code of Practice problem cannot be resolved at the store level, please call 1-866-499-4599 to register your complaint.

What is a non-price ticketed item?

A non-price ticketed item is any bar coded merchandise that does not have a price affixed to the merchandise.

What happens if two or more identical non-price ticketed items are incorrectly scanned?

Customers are entitled to the first item free (up to a maximum of $10) and the subsequent item(s) at the correct price.

How can I claim my refund?

Cashiers are authorized to implement the Item Free Scanner Policy.

If you are not satisfied with the cashier's decision, you may speak to the store manager or supervisor.

If you are still dissatisfied with the outcome, you may register a complaint with the Scanner Price Accuracy Committee, by calling 1-866-499-4599 (toll free).

Your complaints and concerns will be addressed with the retailer, and you will be notified of the outcome.

Where can I get more information about the Code?

You may obtain a copy of the Code from the Competition Bureau's web site at www.competitionbureau.gc.ca.

You may also visit the web sites of the participating retail associations at:

around here they throw out people like you and those extreme couponers.
they have mugshots of you folks up for all to see and are to be kicked out of the store as soon as they are spotted.

it's not your right to shop in a store, it is a privately owned business and they don't have to legally have your patronage.

but in reality, what you're doing is douche.
you are hoarding shit you don't even need, just so u feel like you're getting over on "the establishment"
you are a fucking joke.
want to feel like a real man making a difference?
donate that shit to people who really need it.
or sell it for full profit and donate the proceeds to charity.

otherwise, your greed is no different from the corps you steal from.
i'd slap the shit out of you if i could.

Let me give you the legal definition of an item in the law book:

"item - a specific and distinct product, good or commodity. One item is differentiated from another by having a different universal product code for items so coded; and for items not so coded, the item has any distinguishing characteristics compared to another item."

As long as the barcode is different, you win. 10 bags of dog food all different flavors, it's yours!
