Can high temps cause hermies/ throwing bananas?

Hi, I just have a quick question....I have maybe a couple of minor light leaks...no big deal...probably doesn't even shine on the plants and hasn't caused problems in the past...however, this last month I have had more plants than ever throw bananas....

The temp on the top on the canopy has been anywhere from 90 to 100+ but two inches down its five degrees less and a few more inches its about 85 ish on average....

Does anyone think the heat stress on the very top of the plant would cause it to throw bananas when it wouldn't normally....most of these plants are seed runs that I haven't tried but that are also from a very reputable dealer...
Thanks for your input

Yes any stress can cause this to happen. Get some black Duct tape and cover those light leaks.... Get the temps down below 80f.. Some strains have that recessive trait..Sometimes when I grow out CD IBL I get some nanners and its not a environmental issue.

Fortunately, west coast temps are not like the high temps in the south...There was nothing I could do except to wait out hot ass October and now it seems to be over....the heat, for the first time, did not make my buds stringy or larfy. I think its because it was never consistently hot for a week plus...just hot days here and there....

Thanks guys for the input....it wasn't until i checked my max/out temp which read 106 that I put the pieces together. I usually just check it daily and don't pay attention to what it was when I wasn't around...I am a little less worried about the jacks cleaner and apollo 13 throwing nanners.
