Yes very true. Little known fact here: 40% of all bird populations in America decreased when hemp was made illegal. Took out the food supply real fast for most birds.
Yeah, they've looked at this and found that it causes the birds to eat more. Somehow eating the cannabis seeds first, makes the birds get hungrier and they just keep eating and eating.

actually after googling this subject, turns out the bird population did decline and that hemp/mj seeds are wild birds favorite...
my little guy will pick out the mj seeds first. i have mixed some into his dish and watched him pick them out first. but he is spoiled
he will also deseed your weed if you break it up a bit

he gets to pick through my pollinated plants after i retrieve most of the seeds. he can top a tray of clones real fast too. in that first pic thats what the little bastard did. then acted all innocent LOL. its my fault tho . he been around weed since a baby . and the small reject clones go in his cage to play with.

Don't know about da boids but my little doggie likes the crunchy dead leaves and eats em right up. Doesn't like the fresh ones in the clean up tray, just the crunchy ones.
I was worried about him choking on a big one and tried to take it away but he wasn't having it and skedaddled with it.

very cute superman, I had a pair of them many yrs ago but gave them to my gf as a parting gift. lately I've been thinking about getting a couple of parakeets.......
I have also found this to be true. I feed the wild birds where I live and they almost always go for the hemp seeds first. I told a friend about this a few years ago and he didnt believe me. I gave him some for his parakeets and he reported back in amazement that his birds did eat the hemp seeds first. Almost all living things love cannabis, in one form or another. It's is good for them too.

Hempseeds are a cheap health food source in Europe.
They do mail orders, too!
contrary to us humans it seems the birds know what the most nutritional food is for them.
These birds really seem to be loving the hemp.
