the look pretty legit

I used to use a stardard pump, and I would add tubing so that it drew from the opposite end of the res, and pointed the outtake back so that it make alittle circle

used to swear by recirculation pumps versus air pumps until i noticed how much more precipitate was left behind on my tables and reservoirs now im back to using air pumps and everything stays cleaner and my plants stay a little healthier
this was with magdrive water pumps

Normally recirculation pumps are not used to flood the table with as they dont have any head pressure. There used to keep the rez water always moving thats it..The Mag pump would be better suited to pump water from 1 place to another..

the problem i see with air pumps is that nutrient WILL fall out of suspension....

im using bud blood and floralisous plus......

i just don't see that the air can agitate the nutrient solution enough and get everything on the bottom of the res.....

and trust me i was thinking about it. i have a stupid powerful air pump and stupid huge air stones from when i ran MPB's.....

and i cant run pumps in my res to agitate the water......

i only have 25 gallon res's per 2X4 tray, but lots of them.....

a pump in a 25 gallon res, running all the time, will heat the solution up to much......

That's so true Krunch that's why I bought that pump it's way better keeping the water mixed.

just for shit & giggles try a side by side one with an air pump and one with water and see what works best

Cool let us know what you find.. I dont have the resources to buy pumps just to experiment with. The one I have is located near the bottom with the output aimed at the bottom so far it has worked great for what I wanted..

I dabbled with em. got em from a saltwater fish guy.
I would more go with a tiny water pump, pumping thru an end cap with tiny holes drilled, and let it spray over the water suface. then you get added d.o that the circ pump wont add.

@krunchbubble- May I suggest an airlift system, think WaterFarm on a little bigger but simpler scale. If you look into, googs it, you'll see what I'm getting at. Lots of DO with no added heat source in the res. is my reason for the suggestion.
