was in amsterdam last year, went to some large neon green cafe/bar/something.
tried jack herer and templeballhash (or whatever its called)
neither really was that good, the herer wouldave been called mediocre around here and the hash was bit better.
it did the job though and was cheap compared to at home lol. but i didnt really feel much of an inclination to repeat the visit (humid grey place, at the time anyway)
though it was pretty cool smoking in front of cops[/QU

its quite possible, was there only for a night stopover on my way to vietnam, just took the first vacant hotel downtown i could find and then hit the first coffeshop i saw, bought the weed and got back to the hotel.

many countries in europe mix with tobacco.
studies show that it actually makes the cannabis more effective by a rather large percent.
for myself, well, the tobacco, makes the weed, burn better, last longer and there is an added component to the high that id rather miss.
doesnt affect taste much either if done right.

All I can say no more parties at Museumplein, Rembrandtplein, Leidseplein, Weteringplantsoen, Thorbeckeplein... Now tell me they dont want to get rid of Queensday?
But perhaps your experiences of Queensday are slightly different then mine.
i hate tobacco but the better your joint burns the higher you will get,,, and tobacco makes joints burn hotter and often in the presence of more oxygen which means that the substances in cannabis are able to be properly oxidized,,, if your smoking the best weed that burns perfectly on its own then there is no need to add shitty tobacco, but many have to to get the crap they are smoking to burn properly,,
for some reason from what ive seen american tobacco is far worse to smoke than the rank ciggies we get in europe, though i dont know how it is even possible,,, all tobacco is washed and then resprayed with nicotine btw thesedays, which means that the tobacco companies are actually spraying an addictive substance onto that product that is the main cause of heart diease and sclerosis of the blood vessels,,,
even if they did set a limit, thc isnt the best part of the chemical mix in cannabis anyway,,

it is so,
you do get higher if you mix your weed with tobacco, this is clearly noticable, there is a heavier more relaxing feel to the stone, the high changes bit too.
and, it is true, cure a bud for about 3 months and it burns just as fine as the tobacco.
but, i still prefer to add tobacco to the mix, because of the added effect (something is just missing for me, if i dont add the tobacco and i prefer to smoke tobacco mixed with weed too)
now, smoking tobacco on its own, and in large quantities, gives me a horrible smokers cough, cough and cough and barely anything comes up and it hurts.
but, ive had asthma and some horrible lungshit that kept me coughing for a year (not smoke related)
and i just smoked myself through it (2 smokes and i stopped coughing for the day (unless i got sober again)

I don't agree, Tobacco does not make cannabis more potent.
It's just that you get a Nicotin kick (which is very addictive), that's just mixing different chemicals and it does it stronger.

Or in that case, you could say Alcool makes cannabis more potent by 300% (approximate).
Tobacco will always taste in a joint, the only thing is your brain seem to adapt so you don't taste it. But give it to anybody that only smokes pure and it will tell you it smokes like shit. Back from my carribean pure weed smoking trip, I couldn't smoke my weed with tobacco for a couple of days because the taste would be so bad even with just a little...

So true! Even to a Tobacco-joint smoker, Non-Tobacco joints taste so much different. But then again if you don't have perfect weed conditions you need to use tobacco, ie wet weed or really foul tasting weed.

Yeah, it doesn't have anything to do with burning temps and whatnot - tobacco and cannabis (thc and nicotine / MAOIs etc) just have a good synergy. Given up smoking, but vaping tobacco and even ecigs after weed get me higher and prolong the effects of cannabis quite significantly.

i probably would have loved it as a younger man, Amsterdam looked like a constant party and rather peaceable for that.
the older me was not too fond of it, very humid, rather dark with extreme pricing on par with my own home
taxis and hotels were ridiculously expensive (id take the trains, anyone going there, though the taxidrivers i met were nice and very informative)
the best part of being in Dam?

ive been to europe 4/5 months for the last 10 years. so ive definitely seen and heard every kind of argument about tobacco.
i dont smoke tobacco, i smoke pure, just so you know where im standing here .
1)i cant believe people actually think or say that ganja is more potent with tobacco. ive tried myself, for months, not true. sorry but its absolutely not true, ive tried the same strain pure and with tobacco, no way i can say tobacco makes the weed stronger. maybe it has some other effects that tobacco smokers find enjoyable but not for me. i can never ever understand how someone can grow a beatiful plants for months and then just add poison to it. the funny thing is that i even asked around everywhere, and many people say the opposite, that they prefer to smoke some tobacco with it because its too expensive, wet, etc, but also because they dont like to get so 'high', which for me always sounded ridiculous, as the point of smoking goods buds is to get high.
2)it ruins the taste completely. if you are not a tobacco smoker, there is no mix in the universe i cannot feel the tobacco, and trust me ive tried it. ive even tried it in controlled experiments, putting 50%, 25%, 10% of tobacco. and sorry folks, but if you smoke pure, and they put tobacco on the ganja, its just destroyed.
i dont mind if my joint has to be relit at all, its part of ganja life, if its too wet, better not to smoke it, if its tastes bad, definitely better not to smoke it. ive even met people in europe that couldnt even believe that ganja could be smoked alone, they thought it was just not possible.
im very surprised by how tobacco permeated all the cannabis culture in europe, and im so glad to see it didnt happen back in the us or south america. i understand smoking hash with tobacco, sometimes you dont have a pipe or a bong, and mixing hash with ganja is not the best way to determine the taste/potency of hash, i can even say that a good moroccan hash with a well toasted american spirit cigarrette can be tasty, i can even go so far as saying that the only way to smoke good india charas is with tobacco and nothing else, but i would never ever say that smoking weed with it improves it somehow.

MOST ppl I know smoke tobacco in joints... these joints are substitutes for the cigarettes they need....
my lads sit there all day twiddling their thumbs gagging for a cigarette, so they roll a joint, because they get the much needed bakky hit, & they get a small 'bonus' buzz from the nugg.... even if they had no bud, they would just smoke a fag... addicted.
I smoke Pure but im a UK head... I travelled Oz as a kid & met a Canadian breeder, who made sure i quite smoking bakky back in 02... best thing I ever did... my conscious would be killing me after all these years smoking neat tobacco...
Tobacco packets have warnings on them saying 'Smoking Kills'... SO it's known that smoking cigarettes with filters will kill.... smokers are emptying those killer fags into papers & smoking the killer bakky NEAT all day every day... it's sickening....
THE only reason this is happening, is because cannabis is illegal, therefore it's not the governments problem to warn you how/not to smoke safely.
