Large indoor organic grows

Are there any threads on ICMag that describe a large, indoor organic grow?

I am a very small scale grower, but curious to see how much feasible a large indoor soil organic grow is, and what the challenges are.

I'd be curious to check out some larger indoor organic soil grows too... I wonder what kind of yield per 1kw a really dialed organic grow could get?

1.5 to 2lb per light or so would be no problem with a dialed set up.

That is absooolutely correct. Find your cash cropper type/s that perform well and you're in...considering you 'dial it in'..

I've gotten that kind of organic yield with productive types easy for many years. Start running all kinds of weird old sativa's and oddball stuff like I do and the yield drops. Everything is genetic next to a growers understanding of the natural processes.

I came damn close on my first run with my current set up before the soil bed. seven 3 gallon smart pots and two 1 gallon. 21 oz with 1k. OG Kush.
I think I'll see a slight increase with my soil bed...

That's pretty decent with an OG....

Yeah not too bad I guess.:tiphat:

if you going soil do yourself a favor and get a cement mixer . it makes life easy

I second that. I don't know why more people don't use them. It makes it so easy. I got mine off of craigslist for $125. My back thanked me.

I'm considering going to 4K, maybe 5K. Will I have additional challenges getting 1.5 or 2 lb per K with a long skinny room - like 7' X 28'?

I think it just depends on the set up Mizza....and the type you choose to run. Stick with one or two that perform well and you're in.

If I had that space I would drop a huge smart pot under each light and do no tills. It would take a ton of soil up front but you would have it made once it was up and running. Just top dress with this and that and watch them go nuts.
Good luck!

MFK,

Here's a link to an organic grow that is some gnarly trees growing in huge pots like OT's. This grower has one light over each huge plant and says the plants are like 12' around and occupy a 4'x4' area.
