Biggest mistake I ever made was entering into a partnership with someone for an outdoor grow..
Second biggest mistake was telling this person that I also grow indoor.
Outdoor partnership is long over, but I still pay from time to time with him knowing I grow indoor..

sorry bro, no one of my friends or best friends they no my hobby..from beginning of my experience in coltivation cannabis for cure myself i don't tell anyone that i have plants in a closet...also when i harvest and i have weed if someone tell me if come from me i tell no i buy just little in tha street , just for protect myself from this bro, sorry again and be safe n' strongest !!!

when i started to grow i told way to many people. for now its ok, but i know atleast one of them are a huge blabbermouth when he drinks, something he likes to do, so i am just waiting for him to tell it in a drunken half shout so all town knows.

I think most people have been burned in one way or another in this game. Unfortunately its illegal and makes it that much more dangerous-especially when there is money involved.

some people see kindness and generosity as a sign of weakness and/or simple mindedness. I will forever fail to see why you allowed him access to all of the harvest to sell all at one time. you mention he has connections that make you uncomfortable for your safety, do you see where simple mindedness sorta slips in here sideways??? you don't sound stupid by any means but you did put yourself in this position w/a very sketchy dude.
a friend of mine w/true mob ties (NYC) is selling me something one night back in the mid-80s, I park outside his place (secluded) in the driveway & wait for him. Nicky comes out w/my package and then pulls out a nickel plated .38 revolver wrapped in a bandana to show me, "here have a look" he says offering it to me but still holding it in the bandana; I LOVE guns but am NOT gonna touch that friggin' thing, "cool Nicky but I don't have time for this right now", he laughed in a quirky abrupt way that told me he knew EXACTLY why I didn't touch it, I drove away and was gone never having to worry about how sketchy guys can get....... btw that friend Nicky? a friend since 1960 from grade school.
I wish you well Parallel, try growing some LowRyder2 right now, harvest in 65 days from sprout date. Fast, tasty, very stoney. FoxFarms Ocean forest soil, light to medium nutes after 30 days growing, I got 1/2 pound off of 8 plants from this fridge cabinet using CFL lighting but plenty of it.

you can start the young plants outside of the cabinet for the first 30-35 days because they don't smell until they're flowering hard, w/30 days to go put them in the fridge to finish while you're starting & sexing the next batch of youngsters under some reflectors. Every 30-35 days you switch out the finished & put the next ones in the cabinet. grown properly you'll achieve a 6-8 ounce cycle every 30-35 days in a cabinet this size.
it's my best advice for getting back into the game fast & rather cheaply, a dead fridge $0, 6 quality power strips $50, CFL bulbs $60, canfan w/filter $250 or so on eBay, seeds about $60 per 10 pack, soil & nutes you might have but less than $100 to get you started.
I'm 1/2 crippled w/severe arthritis of the spine and I built and maintained this cabinet with ease.
