Hellow! :tiphat:

I've got a question and can't find anything on the web. What are the exact reasons for leave growth in buds in the flowering stage?
Can'anyone answer that? =) Maybe it's because of 2 much co2?....

:D mhh better phrasing: what's the mistake when the buds have too many leaves in it or is it only defined by genetic?

Polyploidy is a mutation that causes numerous leaves surrounding the bud. Looks like this

ahhh ok, no thats not what i meant, but thanks! it's more a general question about what makes your buds too leavy. is it temp, humidity, co2, any nutrients, just the gen or something else..? everyone knows that a "cfl bud" mostly contains more leaves than under hp-lights.. only a difference in the light causes that?

Leaf to calix ratio differs between strains. Have you grown this particular strain before? More leaf than usual? Otherwise you might just have a leafy strain.

Pics would help. If you're getting leafy growth at the top of the buds, you might have a light leak.

@DB: yea i grew some Lemon Skunk with 150W and a friend used 250W, same producer, same plant, only another wattage.. mines were much more leavy than his buds.

I use a 150. How close was the lamp to the canopy? A 150 needs to be within inches. It's good for 3 square feet of footprint. Any more and you get less lumens per sq foot.

hmmmmm.. more 2 close than 2 far. I think i hadn't the problem with 2 much space.. a while before i heard something with too much heat from the lamp stimultas the the stretch.. is it maybe similar to bud leave growth? :D

Can you take a pic or three and post here? You have a pic limit until you get ~50 posts but a look see would help. The smallest light leak could cause excess leafy growth in flower. In this case the plant(s) is/are reverting to veg stage.

Even a tiny hole in a cab, tent, closet etc is bad if light shines through. Doesn't have to be much light. Anything you can see could disturb the cycle. Good luck.

ok, never thought that the smallest hole can cause such damage. with my grows years ago i hadn't the leaf bud problem and i used shitty low watts :D must be that with the LS. thanks again! (sorry, sometimes my english is a bit funny i think xD)
