Thanks for continue to help me out bro. Wish i could pass you some herbs.
I got two AC's cooling. The big one is the 24,000 btu wall banger and when i added 3000 more watts a few rounds ago, i added a 12,000 btu mini split with a heat pump. The split has a dry setting where it dehumidifies OR a auto mode where the heat pump will run. I have tried both. I think i need to try and adjust the temp up and stop using the dry setting as its not doing it well enough. Maybe if i can get the thing to heat the room higher than the santa fe will be able to perform better.
I am electrically challenged in the room. I have no more amps to run a heater unless i rearrange some things and put some holes in walls and what not. I need to rethink my power layout and then i can add a heater. At this point if i plug anything in, circuit pops. I know i am running it higher capacity than i should, and plan to change that.
Yeah that makes perfect sense and i had a doh moment. Of course i cannot pump hot air into the space, that is going to cause some serious positive pressure and my neighborhood is going to smell like strawberry diesel.
Eyes thanks again man.

Hey InReply, I was trying to figure out why you can't just run with one of the A/C units instead of both. It seems like this would bring your temps up enough for the dehuey to be more effective. I don't understand running the room so cold, especially during lights out. My first thought was to add a space heater, but why not just split the difference and lose one of the A/C's during dark periods? I may be misunderstanding something, though?

Whats happening Dram. Good to see you. The Ac's are only cooling when the lights are on. I need them both as I have 8400w in a 13x13 room. Not air cooled. Can get hot in there. In fact had a power outage on my last round, lost an ac, and it hit 140+ degrees in my room. Killed 90% of the gals in less than 6 hours. :comfort:

Thats no problem, man. i dont mind helping,ya. yeah,id look at it as more than a few choices:

Id try that a/c with the heat pump, turn it up and see what it can accomplish with the dehumidifier running as well.

choice 2 would be 2 dehumidifiers in the room. youll get a good gauge on how hot the room will get with low temps outside. that will give you an idea if its worth it adding another for heat purposes as well as the obvious benefit of the dehumidification side of things.

choice 3 would be to lose a light and gain a electrical baseboard 8 or 16ft or two 8s. they throw out alot of heat. that will solve the heat issue ,but cause the plant to transpire more thus still being a need to have the mechanical dehumidification take place.

nothings better than a properly tuned grow room- so even if you lose a light gain walk room, and a perfect environment, your still ahead of the game.

Oh, ok..I thought they were on at night to bring down RH. Maybe a space heater would help during lights out, to bring temps up a bit while also helping to dry the air. That does sound frustrating...seems like the dehuey should be able to handle. Hope you get it figured out..
