Chronic vs AK47 vs Critical Mass

The title pretty much says it all, which one is going to yield AND have potency. I know that AK47 has the potency, what about the others? I have also heard that Critical Mass may get some color to it at times?

chronic: strong high-a little up, nice smell, buds not as compact as ak. heavy yield
ak47: very strong paralizing high, a+ bag appeal, light green buds, heavy yield (since 2007-08 some plants autoflower under 18/6, but still bomb genetic to find)
c.mass: medium indica high, less taste and smell than chronic & ak. heavy yield. big bud.
various pheno´s.

white russian (ak47 x ww) is also nice

So, if you had to pick one which would it be? Is the Chronic yield far and above the AK? I have plenty of heady strains, I kinda want a yielder now.

Go with the AK47, it has won more awards in competition then the others.

go for critical mass.

Serious seeds lost all the original parent plants that won the awards. There are many threads talkin about the quality going down over the recent years

^^ So what? competition is fairly meaningless.

I got the Chronic recently to check it out. It's not as popular as the others and I haven't seen many grow journals. Go for it, you'll never know otherwise.

chronic is a little to larffy,ak is the shit and white russian even better,serious seeds are worked thoughly ,very consistent,you won't be sorry...

why do you think white russian is better than ak? can they both be flowered fairly short? I'm thinking of doing tables again, almost SOG

the white russian i grew out smelled better,looked better,but didn't out produce ak,just a little beter look from a sales standpoint

the wr was a week longer w/clones to finish, slightly lower yeald,kinder bud
ak is a stronger ,tougher plant,harder to fuck up,might be better to start w/ that one...both will make you $$$

Do you have any thoughts on which would do best in a SOG? Being able to be flipped at say 8-10 inches? Single cola style?

If yield is your primary concern, especially if you plan to SOG, I'd go with Chronic.

I don't think the difference would be 100g per light.
I grew both strains years ago. When SS sold seeds in packs of 15. AK is one of the best seed strains I have grown.
Sounds like AK has gone through some changes since then.
White Russian is next on my Serious Seeds, to do list.

Hey man I'm actually looking for the exact same thing, the most mentioned/praised sog strains that have come to my attention are Dutchgrown Seeds LUI 13, Serious seeds Chronic and GHS Great White Shark Feminized. After reading this forum now added AK47 to the list.. I'm having a hard time making a decision on which one of these 4 to choose.

While I've never grown GWS, I do not see myself growing anything GH, I'd recommend Double Dutch instead. It's 1/2 Chronic and would do great in a SOG.
Serious is in charge of Magus strains now. Should be a good thing.
