Well I did a search and I found nada, so ill start this incredible sports thread for anybody who is a licensed skydiver, active or not, and those who have done a skydive, or thinks skydiving is pretty cool. Skydiver Drivers also welcome. Static line jumps do not count.
Hi, I'm Maximo and I have 4400+ skydives and 33 B.A.S.E. jumps, I worked full time in the field of skydiving for 13 years and started jumping 20 years ago. my father got his jump wings from the U.S. Airforce in 1967 and he made about 100+ freefall jumps in the 1960's, he was a pilot as am I, and my father owned a cessna 172 when I was growing up that I learned to fly at a very young age, and if I said where I lived now that would be icing on the cake
Ok, what I know about marijuana and skydiving that I've learned in the last 20+ years is... that most skydivers smoke marijuana, even the ones you wouldn't think do, and thats funny to me...skydivers who don't smoke marijuana don't care that I do, including the police officers, federal judges, probation officers and other law enforcement individuals that I know who skydive as I've actively smoked pot it in front of all of them at a number of boogies and DZ's I've been to without any repercussions from them in anyway including friendships off the DZ's, drug dealers jumping with the police or a judge is not uncommon in skydiving. basically for those who don't know anything about skydiving and the skydiving lifestyle, the "Drop Zone" is considered sacred ground and when your on the DZ your a Skydiver, not what it is that you do for a living, this is unlike any other sport I've ever participated in. skydivers are also like magnets to each other and will totally blow off important things to hang with each other and talk skydiving stories, and our stories are hard to believe sometimes but there most likely true stories as outrageous as they may sound. Skydivers will sell important things to themselves so they can get there fix, and skydiving isn't cheap folks, I rarely paid for my jumps or equipment as sharing marijuana and hashish did that for me. Anyway I could go on for hours about Skydiving and B.A.S.E., so if you feel like it let use know how many jumps you have and tell us about some of your harrowing moments please, Peace.
