hey great grow so far, screen is filling in nicely


i like your set up alot and might just go with the 400w cmh for my future first grow in a dr60 coco. i have a few more questions to ask!!!



1) i was wondering what is the avg temp in that tent??

2) and where is your tent located????
(closet, bedroom, ect.... so i can get an idea of what temps i can expect if i put it the closet or bedroom ect...)

3) i see that u are using the 18 liter pot and forgot to transplant it. i was going to go from party cup<1gal<3gal<(5gal=approx 18liter). u think thats too many transplants or what do u usually do to reach 18liter???

(i plan to plant 4 regular seeds and hopefully get 2 females to scrog in coco)

sry for too many questions again lol. i plan to make no mistake with my first grow.

Yes id really recommend a 400w for the DR60, its perfect. You should also get a Cooltube cus it gets very hot without.

1) The temp is pretty good. Its about 26-30c. The cooltube is really usefull, without it the temps would have been much higher.

2)Its located in a bigger closet inside a bedroom.
The closet is about 2*1meters. The door to the closet is always open and i got the outtake blowing directly out the door. Ive also got the intake fan taking in air from the door.

3)Hehe i see youve read the thread With this plant it worked great planting directly into the big pot, but every plant is different you know.. Id say you only have to transplant once, alot of people say its very important but really i find it just a waste of time having to transplat 2-3 times..

Start with a 2-3liter container and then transplant into final pot and you will be fine

2 plant scrog will do fine in a DR60. Personally if id go with more then one plant id try to get a 4 plant scrog going in there.

Yo loki good looking grow man, props. I was going to say to not sweat the yellowing leaves. I bet you are in the same situation I was in on my previous grow. I was beginning to worry about yellowing bottom leaves thinking it might have been a N deficiency but turns out that the way I had my plants trained the lower leaves weren't getting much light. Because they weren't getting any light and weren't serving a purpose the plants got rid of them to spend energy more efficiently elsewhere. Im not really too worried about the yellow leaves, and it might be like youre saying cus they didnt get much light. Actually its just a good thing to get rid of them, more energy for the buds im thinking.

The thing is, the plant is looking less vigorous then it did before, it looks tired you know.. I might just be worrying too much. Ill have to wait and see if it gets worse.

pokerg1 - planning to make no mistakes on your first run is your first mistake. plan for failure of some sort, and plan to learn from it. its quite possible to breeze your first cycle with no real issues but if you keep growing they will crop up so to speak. if your mentally prepared for things to go wrong then you will be better equipped to handle the situation. just my two cents best of luck to you!

Lots of leafs for sure, starting to drink like crazy also.. Buds grow bigger every day

And ye i kinda agree with that plan for mistake thing. Knowledge goes a long way, but putting it into experience is a whole other thing.

hey i noticed u dont use cfl for seedlings. i guess it would be more conveinent to use just 1 light for the whole grow even though it will cost more money in the long run. i dunno what i will do, i still have time to think anyways how high is your cooltube from the top of the pot when u first germinate?? do u lower it every couple days or what do u do??
and also how high is your scrog net from the top of the pot??

i want to see what kind of weight u get at the end!!! from your experience in a dr60, u think it would be better to go for 1-2 plants or like 4??

its so hard to get the exact amount of female plants since im gonna start with regular seeds. i plan to make seeds in the future so i can get a nice collection

Hi. I use a 400w Powerplant MH bulb for seedlings and veg, and then a 400w Philips Son-t Pia Greenpower HPS for bloom.

A CFL will do fine for seedlings, but an MH will do much better

When the plant is very small i usually have the cooltube about 50cm's from the top, then some days after it poped up the soil i have the cooltube about 30cm's from the tops. But this is a 400w in a DR60 tent so it gets pretty hot if you dont have the right ventilation. I use pretty strong fans have a great circulation of air and i have about 27-30C in the tent which is perfect for me.

My scrog net is about 30cm's from the pot, the higher you put it the longer you have to veg for the plant to fill up the net.

Im not sure the yield is going to be great from this one, i had a fucked up PH which could effect the end yield.

Id prefer 4 plants in a DR60, scrog or not. I only did this scrog with one cus i never did a scrog and i felt like growing a big plant

Hey man, ive got some pictures! But they're not looking great..
Im pretty sure its the PH, ive been feeding it with PH around 8 :/ But im trying to balance it so hopefully it will recover in a week or two.


Ok so heres the pictures! Not the best ones, will upload some more when i have the time!

As you can see there's a lot less leafs, PH level is fucked up so most of the leafs went yellow so i removed them. Hopefully i will recover soon.

In 4-5weeks this will hopefully be much bigger

Im growing without a Carbonfilter right now, my plan is to install it when it starts to smell outside the room. I began to smell a lot more last week, i felt some smell at the 3rd week, but it was really after the 4th week it started to smell a lot more, so installing the filter tomorrow!

Thanks Sure the buds are looking good, but more and more leafs are yellowing Hopefully it will be alright when i balance the PH level.

Next time im going to try a 4 plant scrog using "Autopot"
Flowering time for this one is 8-9weeks. I know i have to install the carbon filter but i actually love the smell you know.. But my neighbours dont

Get the pH back down to 5.8 and things should progress ok

It does look like you've got a bit of a Nitrogen deficiency going on. It's late in flowering to do this but you could try foliar feeding them something with a good N ratio to help get them through to the end happily.

Im actually going to try AN's Sensi grow a&b next grow, i had no idea it was like that.. If it works in most PH levels thats awesome!!

Yes, you're right, in soil 6.5 - 7.0 would be great. My mistake!

Having tried out a lot of AN's bottles I have found that the best ones are:

For Veg:
Sensi Grow A&B
B-52
Rhino Skin (pH-irrelevant potassium silicate!) - gives strong, thick stems
House & Garden's Roots Excelurator (incredible stuff)
An Enzyme of your choice (I use Hygrozyme but it's damn pricey...!))

Sensi Bloom A&B
B-52 (only for weeks 3,4,5 of 12/12)
Big Bud (weeks 2,3,4,5 of 12/12)
Bud Candy (weeks 3,4,5,6,7 of 12/12)
Overdrive (weeks 6,7 of 12/12)

I'm trying out Nirvana at the moment. I don't think it affects yield much but I'm going for HQ taste so I'll see how it goes.

Another alternative is try the Plant Magic Plus Old-Timer Organic Bloom. I tried it last time and it grew some gorgeous smoke!

Just with reference to how the Sensi nutrients work, the nutrients in them are "chelated" which means that the N,P,K,Ca,Mg,S and micro-nutrients are wrapped up in much bigger molecules.
Normally, plants get their nutrients by ionic collection which requires the pH to be right. However, with chelated and organic molecules this is not the case. The plant absorbs the nutrients almost regardless of the pH (ok, so it needs to be between 4.5 and 9.0 or something but who's water is THAT far out?????!)

wow u can make that so much more simple too. that seems to be a shit ton of work for smoke that u can get using half that. I mean sometimes less is more, and with all that chem u wull need to do a 3+ week flush. IMHO if ur not familure with using ferts it can be quite overwhelming.

this is what I do, remember each garden/er is different and we all want diff things, but what we all strive for is to have the best quality smoke that one can have, right? ok with that being said, i believe in something called K.I.S.S. It means Keep it Simple Stupid. ( I refer to myself as the stupid one, not you).

my Ferts are as followed. I use ONE NUTE LINE. I have run FF, House&Garden, and I AM CURRENTLY RUNNING GH Floura Nova complete system. 1 part grow, 1 part flower, I do use there rapid start for healthy root zone, and i have 2 other things that just help with structure/and taiste, but one would only really need 1 grow 1 flower 1 root enoculant and maybe some molassis for sugar production.
