LazLo's Lassies

After my visiting the lassies this morning, I watched the TV lunchtime weatherman make a prediction for the next 2 weeks.

Sunny, 70's by day, upper 40's low 50's by night, low humidty and no rain.

Pinched myself. Twice. The most critical period for my lassies. Planned harvest date was about 10/17 this year.

Now for the bud porn.

First 3 are Texada Timewarp from seeds I made last year. Last one is my only C99 from Joey Weed. These 4 are 1/2 of my lassies. These 4 have cloudy trichs. Two others are catching up but last 2 may turn out to be bubble hash.

Grow started with 3 dozen seedlings. 4 males were culled, 8 lassies are left and the rest were flooded out with 7" of rain in 2 days in Jun.

The good news...........:wahey::wahey:

My weekly spraying (beginning in July) of diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide prevented leaf spot and so far has prevented mold or rot. Had 7 straight days of rain and daytime temps below 60 F last week. Found 2 lassies bent over and staked them last Thurs.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weatherman is right. It annoys me that they get paid 5 or 6 figures and are often wrong. How many of us could keep a job that we screwed up often? Other than management, that is.

So you think the HP is working ?

It must be if you made it to this late point of this HELL season & ain't got spot or rot :)

I tryed 1/2 cup HP per gal of foliar spray & it worked great on PM but not so much on my rot test.

Whats the details of your sprays ?

Some nice looking buds there ....nice and fat  .. well that's very good news that you might have dry warm conditions for the end of the grow ...i can only dream of that right now.
It never stops pissing with rain here sadly .

Weather has cooled by 20 degrees and intermittent rain has taken its place. Brought 1 lassie home Weds. Brought 2 more lassies home today. Four to go. Found fingernail sized spot of mold on 1 lassie. Hooray for 3% hydrogen peroxide!

She was 5' tall

Dense nugs from her

Other lassie only 3 1/2' tall

Half of the lassies are yet to go. Hope to bring in 2 more Sun or Mon.

My 30 gallon DIY dryer only holds 2 at a time. After 48 hours they are ready for curing in glass jars. A burp or 2 a day for 3 or 4 days and all is well.

Brought 2 more lassies home today. The last 2 have 2 weeks left and by then it could be snowing. Weather permitting, I will check them next week. Sad if I lose the 7 footer to the elements. Still...... I'm happy with the 6 lassies that made it.

She was 6'
Had to cut her into backpack travel size.

The only C99
She was trifolded to fit backpack and weighed 4 oz

Lassies are all field trimmed. They get double plastic bagged and then the bags go into large plastic jugs with screw on lids. One lassie per jug and two jugs per backpack trip. A mile hike to the parking area and shortly after that-------home with the trophies. NO MOLD

They are now drying with less odor than the last 2. But are they sticky! Both had 25% amber trichs. Samples of lassies 1 and 2 are better than expected.Curing will step it up as well.

Visisted site today with trepidation. Rain and cold for past 2 weeks are the reasons. Even had light frost this morning.

How nicely surprised was I to find the last 2 lassies in great shape. No mold or rot.

The yield from the 8 lassies is nearly a pound DRY. Looks like I'll be short before 2012 harvest. Hate giving my money to expletives deleted!!!
