i doubt the mexican cartels have hackers working for them, how will they even find these members of the internet ...i mean anonymous?

The cartels GDP equals many nation states and their only objective is war. I wouldn't underestimate their capabilities.

seems like theres an organization (the FEDS) using anonymous and throwing them under the bus so they can get at the cartels a lil easier.

set up your own "group", shout to the world the same types of threats and some ppl will just take the ball and run (very big problem with ppl today).

well the cartels are fucked anyway, i mean killing ppl with chain saws?!?! really?! thats so messy and unnecessary. i mean if your sick enough to kill someone cause a cop singled them out or some shit that was out of their control wouldnt shooting them be a whooole lot easier and cleaner?

a gun - take gun out, point at head, shoot

a chain saw - you gotta put on some sort of suit, blood splatters everywhere, you gotta clean, yourself/ the area/the chainsaw, check and check again for left over evidence, make sure the chain saw has gas in it, may have to pull the cord a couple times i mean there are sooo many other etc.'s that it doesnt make any sense in the long run.

...if the kid's any good at what he purports to do, i wonder if they would end up forcing him to be a slave labor hacker of sorts? i always heard stories of us government agencies doing that with some of the very skilled hackers they've found

The only way the cartel could get at Anonymous is having special agent provocateur infiltrate IRC chatrooms and shit.. would take awhile... But if they started turning some nerds to the darkside they could expand their business opportunities. Identity fraud, etc, fits right in with their operational needs. If they could get at fingerprint databases, interpol networks, etc etc... The counterintel alone would pay for itself a hundredfold, and what if they could alter fingerprint records so their money launderers wouldn't have to have their toepads sewn to their fingertips... so gross.

Supposedly an informant high in a cartel said they had already done something to the border cameras...

Other than that they're only getting info from domain name registration... and moles in the FBI
