I haven't been to Holland for quite a few years, but last time there I was more interested in the hash which I know was way more than 15% (and was great btw), whats up with that? or is this stupidity just about the weed?
Is it TRUE they have lowered the level of thc in the cannabis in amsterdam..

I think that in reality nobody can find true cannabis in Amsterdam. they sells fake weeds like tomatoes and hopes combined for more powerfull effects...
I think amsterdamers are not really human too? maybe extraterrestrials guys and girls
they used to test in this way.
just took a sample from the weed, including stem and leaves.
and then measured the thc level out of the whole mass.
so, maybe 1-5% thc in the whole plantmatter tested.
now.
they test the thc out of all the cannabinoids present, they dont include the plantmatter as previously.
so 17% thc out of all the cannabinoids. not out of the whole plant.
instead of saying, the plant has 1% thc , they are now saying, all the crystals on your plant, contain 17% thc.
thats why the level of thc has gone up,not because the strains of today are any stronger. (apparantly arjan introduced this method or i do think i remember him saying that in a article somewhere)
actually some of the 60´s and 70´s weed would test stronger on today´s test than the strongest weed out there now..
so.. this is a joke from beginning to end.
meaning that amsterdam will from now on only have mediocre pot (if they can enforce this)
and no true medicinal strains (or fewer of them anyway, strength of thc is no guarantee for a good smoke (though a pretty good indicator)

Ime u.s weed is better than amsterdam an uk stuff, and Ive been to both places (live in uk).
Aside of a few expensive gems in some coffeeshop, the bud in amsterdam is no better than good bud In uk,
in u.s the bud was about half the price, cleaner, tastier, and stronger. My 2cents.
I have nothing against any city or town or country so lets get that out of the way right now... Again every town has somthing great to offer you need to find the right people and growers and it's not the shops or the clubs unfortunately. When you grow for profit your not growing with the right strains or timming ect. I have rarely found great bud if ever from a club it's just the way it is. It has nothing to do with the city. I do believe some cities are doing better then others with their bud and I won't get into it here so it won't start any fights but these cities also charge a lot of cash ..Too much if you ask me..I would grow it before I would buy it for that price lol.. peace out Headband707

Yeah growing it yourself was the way it all started out, but after a 10 year razzia on very single grower in the NL, it has become very dificult and mostly involves hardend criminals that see an easy buck. Now-a-days I meet a load of Romanian and Polish guys that claim that they are growing for the shops, and those guys aren't famous in Holland for being well behaved lawupholding citizens.
But that I reckon was the plan all along, prosecute it untill the hippies are gone, claim its only criminals and ban it completely from society, its what they are doing with the red light district as well. And now Amsterdam wants to get rid of Queensday aswell. Apparently, they like to destroy their identity and go up in the grey mass of boring European cities that you don't want to visit.

Amsterdam is an expensive place for everything for a start so of course the price of weed will also be reflected in that. Also with coffee shops going through kilos every week is it supprisingly that they struggle to constantly provide high quality given that quality is always going to come from smaller scale opperations. Opperations that are all illegal and therefore have the extras costs and pressures that come with that.
We should also remember that most of us here are pot snobs and actually for the most part their customers will be happy with the quality they get. I have spoken to yanks from all over the US who have told me the weed in Adam is so much better than what they get at home even those from cali
I've lived in the uk all my life and I don't even know where I would find weed as good as mine to buy here, the only other good weed I get in the uk is from friends. I won't even buy it now I go without, it just seems so much worse and for crazy prices, much higher than amsterdam

No not ALL polish and Romanians are hardened criminals which im not claiming, but im claiming "ALL of those that CLAIM to grow for shops are not famous for being well behaved citizens". This is a fact coz growing is always illegal in Holland.
Furthermore statistics from the Central Bureau of Statistics have stated that eastern european citizens in Holland are over 6 times more likely to commit crime, then local citizens. This is considered a FACT in Holland, its the CBS that produced it. And it happens that they are overrepresented when it comes to both violent crime and small crime.
If its racist to state facts then you can't even have a normal debate or discussion..

My buddy just came back from out there and was dissapointed in what meds they had to offer. Also said there pre rolled j's are rolled with tobacco?
was in amsterdam last year, went to some large neon green cafe/bar/something.
tried jack herer and templeballhash (or whatever its called)
neither really was that good, the herer wouldave been called mediocre around here and the hash was bit better.
it did the job though and was cheap compared to at home lol. but i didnt really feel much of an inclination to repeat the visit (humid grey place, at the time anyway)
though it was pretty cool smoking in front of cops

They want to move every event with a national character, not only museumplein, out of the centre. Namely to the arena, which will be fantastic a party on a parkinglot, or towards station south, or just away from the city.

There is plenty of nice bud in Amsterdam but it takes some hunting down. Majority of stuff i sampled in the red light district was trash, with a couple of exceptions.
