thanks greenadian, unfortunately just hit a snag :(

went in to chck on the babies and saw some speckled damage on the leaves.. flipped and looked underneath and can see little white worm-like mofos, that jump like lice when messed with.. on almost every seedling. some have em pretty bad. the place is sealed off completely so no contamination in the bloom room (knock on wood), best as i could see at least, but now i'm faced with a dilemma.... do i do the usual treatment and shit, but then be faced with having to treat on a regular basis... or do i scrap all the babies in veg, eradicate the room, bleach the shit out of everything, and get back to just runnin what i have... damn, i wanted to see what the girls have to offer.... maybe i'll set them up in a dif room and treat them and run, idk i hate bugs. fuck. bummer.

ok, i know what im gonna do. eradicate the shit out of the little bastards and let my babies grow. fuck it. first thing im trying is an organic home remedy. that doesn't work, neem oil is next.

bought a package of rolling tobacco. seperate into five equal parts in quart jars. boil a bunch of purified water (tap water probably fine). fill the fuckers up and let sit for hour or two.

the idea is to take one of the quart jars and dump it in a five gallon bucket of purified water. this is for dunking. gonna submerge everything so i'm not spraying underneath leaves and missing shit. bastards are all gonna die. the other four quarts will be used at a quart to 1.5 gallon (size of my watering container, the purple one) for water directly. i want the excess tobaccoo going down and staying in the topsoil too. that shit is hella deadly for bugs. like i said, if this doesn't work i'm getting neem oil. the veg room is ok, but jesus if they spread to the bloom room it is a smorgasborg in there

Yo K- looking good man. Sorry to hear about the bugs. The spots look like spider mites, but that pic looks long for a spider mite.

I just had 5-6 leaves with 1cm x 1cm white spots a bit ago and ID'd them as spider mites. I'm a professional gardener and know that capsaicin is a miticide. I mixed up about 5 jalapenos in a liter of water with some thyme sprigs and 1 clove of garlic in a blender and strained out the solids and sprayed each infected plant once every 3 days - 3 times....no mites since then!! It was pretty brutal on the lungs though. The solution didn't affect the leaves or new growth at all - just leaves some white dust from the fine particulates in the spray which easily rinse off with distilled H20 spray. No mites for 3 weeks now. Anyway - just an idea if the tobacco doesn't work. I guess if they're not mites, miticide wouldn't work anyway! Whoo I'm lifted.

I started using the same blue totes you use (thanks for the idea). I'm doing 1 plant per tote, though (organic soil mix). They're monstrous. It really is easy to check the weight of the tote when "asking" if they need water. Very simple and effective.

Anyway, I rambled on longer than I thought about this stuff. Keep up the wicked work!

just sayin yo...

other then tht the plants are lookin like theyre growin good,a few have a real nice structure to them bro.i bet them tubs are makin life alot easier for you huh, instead of watering so many pots, just a few tubs....

haha better listen to girls and get em down and in your bowl :D lucky dude lol rock on T, thanks for the tip on the bug-killer i'll check it out if this other stuff doesn't work. and yeah i am really liking a couple.. can't figure out what they are either, so i really wanna see. i'll get stuff under control.

resistant: that was exactly what i expected to see when i flipped the leaf was spider mites.. leaves looking like they are spray-painted and shit. but yeah those are definitely not spider mites, unless they are jumping bug-looking spider mite larvae. thrips are best thing i could come up with. i might try that capscacin though. i have some bad-ass peppers from the outdoor garden i can chop up. thanks a lot for the recipie, i'll let you know how it goes.

ok guys ima go down there now and see what is up. hopefully nothing is moving.

great to hear the totes are doing well for you too, mang!!! i bet they love having all that space... it's a good idea just doing one per tub, i might try that. always a plus to get numbers down and shit.

THIS! I hawk this stuff at least once weekly and you should definitely check it out. Organic and OMRI certified. Can be used up to 14 days before harvest. I had the very beginning of a thrip issue when I saw one larvae during my last grow. I didn't want to fuck around and let things get worse. Picked this stuff up, used it once and never saw so much as one sign of any pests the rest of the grow.

i use azamax. id use natural stuff first, even though azamax is natural and organic it can hurt new growth at doses strong enough to battle pests. sorry to hear about that K i wish you the best of luck in your battle

just went down and checked... all new growth looks fine, things look ok in general. wow, do those little bastards show up once you spray! they must have all moved from beneath the leaf to the top. looks like someone sprinkled miniature rice all over my plants. only a few of em left are movin when messed with. there are quite a few of em dead. (the buddhist in me weeps.)

the harvest will be the tub of viper in the middle, the two individual killer chem cat litter containers, and the one cherry haze cat litter. in a week or two i'll have another viper and another bubba in the individual containers, then that will be the end of the cat litter containers and i'll run all tubs (unless i need to use them of course lol those things make great little mini tubs, and i never have an issue with the lack of drainage. recycle/reuse when you can!!!!)

Hey what's up khaleel? Bomb ass looking harvest and really some great plant training!

Those look like a type of thrip..... the thrip eradicator is spinosad. Monterey garden insect. It's an omri organic bacterium than decimates them. Two sprays to hit their lifecycle and you'll be all set.

Anyways, looking dope

smiley, thanks a million man i saw that stuff and a tip from you is all i need, great to hear. i was wondering, cuz they don't look like pictures of thrips--all are still larvae. and a SHITload of them in the original veg area. also found them on a couple containers in bloom. i already set up another area and am going to pick up another light and have a separate 12/12 area for the infected ladies, so i can flip them now (just did tonight). also need to treat my clones as they are showing on the clones too. that will be easy enough, they are all nicely rooted (5-6" of spaghetti on each) and can take a blast or three. already hit them twice with azamax and just seeing a little bit of browning on the very smallest growth tips. i'll be able to find out what ones are girls, get rid of the boys and corresponding clones, then give the remaining clones a military inspection and treat the shit out of them until there is no remaining sign. then they will not be flipped until i can assure that the bloom room gets a good cleaning, moving whatever remaining infected ones to the alternative area, bleaching the main bloom room and flipping the clean clones, starting my cycle back over with clones of all the new seedlings, as well as my already running stock. all is well, or at least it will be. i was a little bummed about seeing them in the bloom room cuz i'm sure they are on their way to all the plants, but at most i have seven weeks to deal with them. nothing in there is ready to be harvested for another four weeks or so; good news to hear i can use the monterey product!

thanks again, peace bro
