What's new

Thinking of using local soil...maybe?

Northern Lights #5 x Neville's Haze

F2 from a breeding in 1991...which were from the very first seed release. This should be interesting. The seeds pulled from a freezer after 20 years this spring.

Classic photo of this cross - everything, i.e. color, leaf structure, branching.

Love it or hate it - that's it.

Next cycle it's on with the NL/Haze....the leaf color is definitely lighter than all my other types. The stretch seems manageable to me...I'm used to getting beat up by Sativa's in flower.

RR...
Do you think a hit to BO would be in order for the NL/Haze? Being she is so short, and fast.

All day long.............

BTW - I was thinking about strain names today and it occurred to me that the Cherry Bomb crossed with the Mary Poppins (sister of TO and BO) would give you Cherry Poppins.

Unfortunately a search of this name turned up a porn star from Grants Pass, Oregon and I'll leave it at that. Tough life it would appear.

I cracked open that jar of Nigerian today - it's been in the closet for a couple of months. What an aroma! Wow! Just an amazing saliva with a very nice cerebral punch without the Indica B.S. messing things up.

Out of the park!

I have a the largest Nigerian I've ever had going now, she's very big. The Nigerian is drought tolerant and any cross seems to be as well. Great flavor, the cross to BMR made it melt you,but by itself is great for breakfast through mid-day.

1 VR is looking like it's building bigger flowers than the Kali or any other satty for that matter, yet still 6 ft tall. Anything I should be looking for in a mother?

Massive foliage (specifically fan leaves) and towards the final 10 days the range of color on all leaves (even the sugar leaves) will turn the full range of reds, oranges, blues, purples, yellow and everything in between.

When the flowers are dried, the small sugar leaves which will be of several colors will dry and become very thin giving you traces of color in and around the actual flowers. Much like the old paper currency with the red and blue threads running through it.

You should have seen superior branching girth and strength from the beginning. In spite of being a 'stretchy saliva' you should not find wispiness or weak structure part of growing this cross(es).

Look for the Thai genes in this line - if you can bring those out then your efforts will be rewarded, IMHO

No,not weak at all..very strong stems and branching is strong as well. Not so much like x-mas tree style. Had to top them several times. Two types of flower formation..1 being thicker and shorter, the other being taller and wispier.

Heavy thick leaves,big,old school sativa look,plants smell...like 1978

Yeah I use the Oasis cubes, but there are two types..one being soaked in a hormone the other not.

Obviously the VR is an Indica-Sativa cross and this is pure speculation based on what was going on in and around the scene in the PNW, I would not be surprised if the Indica in this line is the original Afghani #1 - again just speculation but that's where you're seeing the leaf density perhaps.

Who knows..........

Apparently DJ has been answering any and all questions recently. What do you think he'd say when I asked him....good question!

The only way you could ever get me in an automobile heading south on I-5 anything past Yreka would require someone holding a gun to my head.

Been there - done that

KWIM? Once you've seen El Monte or Van Nuys in a lifetime what else could they possibly offer?

And then there's Taft and everything on US 99 - Sanger, Pixley, Hooterville, Gutherie - Peticoat Junction meets Green Acres redux..........
