Midwest US. For me it depends on the frites. If I'm eating fries my MD or the pre-cut ridged fries from served at fast food establishments and bar and grills I use ketchup. If I'm eating fresh cut, double fried, frites from my favorite brasserie I use mayo.

hell yeah tartar sauce and cheese are bad ass too. What's REALLY good is if you go to Burger King and grab some packets of that "zesty sauce"...it's a mild horseradish-cheese sauce...so forkin good
