Don't be afraid to fake it til you make it.*

They're gonna pay some goof to do it, it might as well be you.

* Does not apply to surgical residents or pilots.

I lived at a Zen monastary in the 70's for a bit. One of the most important things I learned was when the master was giving a talk and he said, " You want world peace, live peacefully". Don't talk about shit, do shit. If you believe in something, go do it. I see these stupid, naiive kids at their Occupy Wall Street protests and all their pointless demands and I think, "Go make the world better then instead of telling other people what they need to do". I moved to the woods, lived tight with the land, off the grid, house I built, solar panels, had animals, grew my food, did what these folks are saying to do. I did it for me. To feel good myself about my life. Long before it was cool. Make your world better and you make the whole world better. That's just it.

"If you don't like the way her Mother looks and or behaves, run and don't look back."

Seriously. Run. Even if she's drop dead gorgeous, run like you stole something.

Really good advice from:

My Dad: "80% of success is simply showing up on time, freshly bathed and well-groomed, ready to work. I'm sure you can figure the other 20% out."

2nd boss: "Never pick up your pussy and your paycheck at the same place."

"treat all women as ladies until they let you know they want to be treated differently. it WILL happen! life aint fair, get used to it now." i heard those from my dad years before he died. when i was a child, i thought my dad was the smartest man on earth. when i was a teenager, i didn't think he knew shit. now that i have reached (and passed) the age he was while i was a teenager, it constantly stuns me just how smart that dumb old SOB really was.:ying: enjoy your youth, you young punks! it don't last forever...:moon:

Take your time growing up, cause it isn't all that you think it is. Listen to your parents, they only want what is best for you. When you get pissed, stop and think that 20 years from now, whatever has you pissed, won't mean shit. When you love, love with everything in you, no matter the risk...the reward is amazing. Don't do the best you can, do better, because someone else sure as heck will. Follow every dream, but stay rooted in reality. Cherish your family, and always let them know, cause the time you don't, may be the last time you see them. Life is short, make the most of it, and be great. Always be kind and help those that are in need. Be your own best friend. And hug people, cause it always feels good having that human contact!!
