2 questions:
is it the liquid silicon?
is it organic?
There are a few forms of it that I saw at my local hydro store. It's basically sand. The liquid looks like water with a slight haze to it. As far as organic goes, I can't speak for that. It's not really a nutrient that the plant uses constantly (as I understand it anyways, could be wrong as I'm just learning), but more along the lines of something the plant uptakes and keeps within it's cell walls. Once it's there it's there, whereas something like N, P or K might be taken up, but then it's used up & gone within days.
I've always been a little unclear as to the definition of organic. . .
I say that because I've never seen it silica on a list of macro or micro nutrients. It seems to be unique in that sense. It's uptaken but not really "used" as much as stored.
Your water's Ph will go up drastically due to the K in it. Come to think of it, there is some K in there, and it's probably not organic. . . .
If you want DE use this.
It is fossilize diatoms. I mix it in to my soil and top dress my soil and coco with it. Do a search for NAPA 8822 and you should get some good info on it. It cost me less than $7 for a 25 pound bag. I'm pretty sure it is organic as it is just crushed up stone.
The NAPA is used for the DE (Diatomaceous Earth) not for the CalMag.
