PK's Build a Long 16K, come on in!

Thanks EVERYONE for taking a seat and busting out the popcorn. Good news to report, today was day 1 framing, we accomplished a lot and I am thankful for having friends who are professional framers. Another day day and a half and we will work our selves out of stuff to do until I get the electrical ran. I know there will be a 1 week or so delay in electrical getting finished but in the meantime the panel and meter are getting taken care of.
I have decided to hose my water out to the barn at least until spring to see how it goes. The quotes I got were smoking crack, 4200.00 for a waterline, one day of digging. I will run the indoor copper and dig out by the barn and have someone run the rest in the spring if I am feeling it.
I plan to (still figuring this one out) run water in a badass garden hose in the winter, never touching the ground which right now is doable with existing structures. IE: deck, fences, bushes. Of course the hose will be drained and store din a warm place after ach use. I will fill my 5 44 gallon brute tanks that are connected via 3/4" and shutoffs. I will then run an appropriate sized water pump to 3/4" poly, saddleback my RO unit on to that, and run the fresh RO into my 500 gallon tank. Reapeat untill 500 gallons is full. Once the grows are rolling my dehumidifiers and air conditioners will pump condensate into the 500 gallon tank. After loading up the 500 a few times the room will replace all the water I need. I know when disposing of soil I will lose some, 15% dry weight of weed, and opening door. I would expect to have to run some more water in for maintenance of the supply but would be a lot less than actual use age, except when it is flush time
Lots of toys on the way I will get photos as the light board and water tank arrive, and of course as the build goes down.

The exterior walls are getting a layer of plastic with over lapping edges to be seamed, creating a vapor barrier, ceiling as well.

Why are you building a raised floor? Better insulation?
I would assume the concrete slab would get real cold in the winter and conduct heat away from the reservoirs....?

Today was day 2 framing, I was offsite most the day tending to my girls and hitting up the growshop. I put in my order for the remaining ballast and hoods I need and also ordered close to 1000 gallons of soil mix. 450 pounds of earth worm castings lol. Plus all the pots I could ever need and a shit ton of 5 foot bamboos.
Today the center wall seperating the flower and veg was built, the flower ceiling framing was put on, and the front existing wall was stripped to include the railing and stairs. Lots of wood had to be juggled around. Tomorrow will be another 10-12 hour day and I expect to see all the ceiling 2x10's in place and some walls going up in the work room.
I decided against walling in the veg room and adding a door and will be going with an open floor plan. I like being able to walk in and see my veg girls right away and since the veg/work are will be on the same temp/humidity/co2 control no reason to make anything tricky IE: needing to install fans. The far right wall of the veg room is being delayed until I get the 500 gallon water tank in there.

Hell no Jenn! When I see the 400 light rooms thats when I start to thinking lol. To bad I don't have the balls to go any bigger, I could manage a couple hundred no problem. Go check out DMT's threads, hes killing it. 16 lights, we are talking I can light up 320square feet, pretty small buy any production garden standards other then weed.

Will the vapor barrier plastic be the only insulation for the outer walls?

Hell no PD it gets cold as hell here in the winter. I will be putting in the highest R 24" rolls of fiberglass I can find! The vapor barrier is there in case the pole barn "sweats" in the rapid temp changes they experience. This way my wood is protected and stays strong. Also if any leaks we fix come back. None are to bad as of right now but I will be tarring them all up. The inside of the walls will also have 5/8" plywood covering it, a layer of KILLZ mold paint applyed via sprayer, and of course a nice layer of Poly.
Ichabodcrane- you got the jokes man I dig lol. You will need my thumb print and the digitial code! I hope you have been brushing up on your CSI! Thumb print will be an easy one, everywhere I go I leave thumbprints made of sticky resin. What is even worse is a day rareily goes by where I don't have resin caked on the tip of my nose, I cannot remeber the last time I didn't have something at least mid flower that didn't deserve some molesting. Today my girlfriend was picking saw dust out of the resin on my nose for me She always gives me kisses and goes, emmmmmm, it is like kissing a bud.
xmobotx- thanks, up to this point I can only stake claim to organizing, planning, and on occasion holding something. Lots of store runs and of course lunches and dinners, my people don't need no union! All topped of with a mediable, a fat chem D, and a soak in the hot tub. The help has almost stayed the nigth both nights from being so comatosed after working.

PK , Looking Good !!!! Good Craftsmanship There! When I see clean builds like that it really gets my excited about doing the same with the electrical!
