Help me set up my room

Hey everyone! My next grow I want to finally switch over to vertical but dont know which method to use.

Here is what I have 2-1000w MH/HPS light, 1-600w MH/HPS light,
The room is roughly 9'x12'.

Colosseum seems like that best bet but watering a large amount of plants seems like it could be difficult when ll the pot will eventually be blocked by a canopy and screen.

Or should I set up two vert scrogs around each 1000w bulb or run a large vert scrog around both 1000w bulbs?

I am going to be keeping things organic so I probably will have a fresh water drip line hooked up to each plant and then hand water a weekly AACT tea.

I am not sure if I should do multiple little plants or few large plants.

I was thinking two plants per 40 gallon tote, 4 totes around each light to forum a square with a round screen in the middle. Total of 8 plants a light or could I fit in three per tote? Im working with clones.

I want it to look like the pic I attached. Red ring is the bulb and blue ring is the screen.

I mainly want some constructive opinions please. Thanks everyone for taking the time to help me out.

IN for the bin..lol....you can check out my stadium I have 3 shelves running 3200 watts and I pull 4-5 lbs every 60-70 days (I have a veg tent also). It's hard for us to TELL you what to run, it really depends on your skill level, and room characteristics, I like to keep it simple (KISS), we run coco in 2 & 3 gall SP's and HAND water all 80-100 plants, yes it's a bitch BUT when we tried to do some drip irrigation ...well...let's just say we totally fudged it up....

I think your 40 gall tote idea might be a little problamatic,I think possibly a Weed doughnut or stadium or collisium might prove more successful for a first time verter BUT I am not telling you what to do, please explore and I am sure more peeps will chime in here as well.

Welcome to the Vertical section, were kinda cultish BUT we have each other's backs too!

My main issue with running a colosseum is my clone machine.

It is only a 25 site areo..That seems like to little of a plant count for a colosseum.

Thats why I wanted to do the 40 gallon tote. Perhaps a octagon shape instead of a square that way I can fit two more 40 gallons in.

I will probably have to veg for a month to get the size plants I will be after but I want it to look like a grape vine surrounding the bulb when everything is all filled in

Plus 12 large plants is so much easier (in my head) to deal with then 50+ small plants.

but if I could run a successful colosseum with only 25 plants then I will want to look down the avenue also for suuure!. Thanks peeps! :bump:

Here is a Kong that I started for preparation of my first vertical grow.

God am I so excited to run a vertical setup. I am deff. going to use a KISS method. I've been blending my own soil mixes for about 2 and half years now and have a real dialed in blend.

I think I have narrowed my first vert down to a single 1kw bare bulb.

If things fill in real well I have some back ups on stand by just in case. Its amazing how much gear one collects over the years. I must have 7 different lights just stored away.

And I ditched the 40g tote idea. I ran some numbers and 40g per tote would be over kill. I decided to run each plant in its own 10g pot for a total of 12 plants. 12 plants in 6 40g totes just seemed like way to much.

The whole reason I wanted to use 40g totes so I could plant a live mulch of clover with my MMJ plants because I have seen some pretty amazing results doing so.

240g just seems like a lot of dirt to mix up but now that Im thinking about it again the whole live mulch idea seems to go to pass up. Haha geeze, well I have some time to decide considering my sprout is far from cloning.

I run six plants in a doughnut, but I veg for a while as I run plants that don't stretch as much. If you want to run a screen in the middle you should look at Wisco61. He runs a screen in a doughnut set up. He will answer questions I'm sure if you ask him. Do a search for his thread. Also look at Aero's in the stickies here. Bets of luck.
