preventative measures are great but in the end something is going to fuck you over whether it is accidental, someone else's fault, or you get a disease or some other uncontrollable medical event

You have a high deductible of about $5,000 but when you get Tboned by someone and rack up $200,000 in medical bills, they will pay $195,000 of it.
Sadly, some people are fucked. If you have a bad pre existing condition, your fucked unless you are rich. If you can't afford health insurance, your fucked.

I have known people to claim all kinds of bullshit ailments from car wrecks. I am prety certain that I could get a kiropraktor to claim that I got elephantitis, whip lash and gonorrhea from a car wreck.

I recently became a victim of "Romney Care". One of the most embarrassing things I've ever had to do.I have to have health insurance and since the family is self employed I'm forced to join the welfare insurance provided by the state because private insurance is like 2k a month, if I don't have insurance in Mass, I recieve a fine, something like 2,000 dollars.It took 4 months for the state to do the paperwork and for 4 months I was uninsured so come tax time I will be fined for not having insur for 4 months.I've never been on welfare for anything, never had a foodstamp, always paid my own way and now I'm forced to join the minions at the quack Dr's offices that accept state care.Honestly I'd rather go die in a ditch than be on welfare.....Dental, forget it, I just pay cash, same with the Dr, unless I'm t-boned in a vehicle, I'll never use the state insurance.You should see the Dr's offices that accept welfare insurance, I'd be the only american in there....it's a nightmare come true being on the same program with all the dirtbags.Hell I hardly know what I'm saying, it's too distressing...

I live in Australia here every body has free medical service & if you have any chronic illness the government hands out $4250 every two years to help out with dental, chiro, or even massage. pretty cool ah. Not to mention $1000 bux every two weeks 2 get by on. Livin large in the lucky country. hehehehe.

Some doctors are such assholes, and I guess its related to how my brain emanations always clash with arrogant types or something. Brainwaves man totally. But actually there are a several I can think of that were friendly and genuinely listened to me and quickly addressed the real problem, so it just depends.
I used to go to this big private healthcare/clinic network that will remain unnamed. I made an appointment for a physical and was thinkin hey a male doc will probably know more male shit cuz he's focused on his own health/physiology, just like a female doc would know more female shit. So I asked the phone rep for a male doc. I guess she flagged my account as "does not like female docs" or something because anytime after that I had an appointment with a female doc they were total fucking bitches to me, forgot to run the blood test I requested, forgot to do the x-ray I request, they were just like fuck this guy. I had to just stop using the network.

Live in a country where we freely can go to the doctor and hospital. Not dentist though, and my teeth are effd up, and it's way expencive...
I paid 23K last year for a full restoration, all porcelain crowns top and bottom, front to back.
Quality work costs big money, and I'm not going to skimp on my teeth.
Dental insurance is a joke, a full years benefits would have only paid for 1/20th of the work I had done.
That's the bummer part of teeth, the longer you wait to get the work done, the more expensive it will be.
My teeth were messed up too, I think I had a filling in every tooth but the ones in front, and about 50 new cavities since I had not been to the dentist in well over 10 years.
I only had a couple spots where I could chew without pain, it was bad.
Since the restoration, not only do my teeth look better then they ever did in my whole life, they feel incredible, I can chew anything anywhere now.
23K was big money, but well worth it IMO, I don't regret having the work done for a second
