Are vicious little bastards!

I was skeptical , seeing these dust size specks were $1.25 each! They are tiny little black lady bugs . They can also fly ! SO far Im impressed an army of 6 are on one branch clearing there way up ! Already a few inches in just a few minutes! Im going to do 3+ more releases and try to get a population established in the flower room . Hoping with the winter coming and a vigorous IPM plan , I can whip the mites before next summer .

Mites are on my mind 24/7... Well they are up to first on the list of shit to worry about!! $1.25 each... I'll take a hundred or two to ensure success. Plus ladybugs are cute!

lady bugs don't really eat mites , maybe as a last resort . Also just found a lab that sells em for

100/vial 50.00 2+ vials 39.90 ea 5+ vials 31.60 ea


Coulda got 500 for $25 more then I just paid for a 100! I see 500 of these coming shortly!

Maybe they do , but not for me . Last time i tried they just ignored the mites . The destroyers are on a mission! Just went and rechecked , one branch is almost cleaned off!

ladybugs were so slow for me, i released several 100, then a week later several 100 more, the spider mites slowed down but then increased towards the end with a massive surge

the ladybugs were much faster at it than the praying mantises, in the end mighty wash has been really kicking ass for me; i'd really prefer not to spray anything on my plants, thanks for the info on these spider mite destroyers

i let my daughter order them to her classroom, they went ape shit......

They are predator mites, and they prey on spidermites... "Phytoseiulus Persimilis"

Altgarden and natures control ( where I got 1st batch ) are more expensive . Try Rincon-Vitova , much cheaper.

Also you recommend predatory spider mite , but didn't mention their drawbacks . Like they like a very humid environment 60-80% , so no good in flower . ALso they go into hibernation with a 12 hour light cycle.

They have a few other species that eat mites . Gonna try out like 2-3 different kinds next round .

the problem with predatory insects is that typically the grower uses them AFTER bombing the shit out of their garden with every pesticide they can get get their hands on with predictable results...
another issue with predatory insects is they tend to have a much narrower tolerance in regards to temperature/humidity to thrive also most will not reproduce under a 12 hour light cycle and lastly many will not eat their prey to extinction they tend to leave some for their offspring

and ladybugs your just fooling yourself but hey at least they will bite you LOL

PHYTOSEIULUS PERSIMILIS, ohh so high price you find. In my country it's cost about 1$ per 1000 predators.
But my experience with this mites don't give a good result, predators mites is very sensitive to humidity level...
If humidity in your room is low they are will die in a few days.

Also, PHYTOSEIULUS PERSIMILIS don't kill 100% of spider mites, they only reduce population and keep it under control at very low level.
you can easy ask any laboratory assistant who grow this mites about efficiency of the predator mites.
