I've known a few Cuban stoners, but for whatever reason, the subject of weed in Cuba never came up. I did work with a chick form Cuba who came over in the Mariel boatlift that could field strip an AK-47 and reassemble it blindfolded.
From what I've read, weed is hard to get, not very good and penalties for possession are harsh. I believe it is all schwaggy import since the penalties for growing it are probably severe.

Weed legal in Cuba? sorry but are you FUCKED. If you want to smoke weed stay the hell away from Cuba, infact stay the hell away from there period. The laws in Cuba are soo fucked up, if you get caught with just a joint you WILL be arrested and jailed. And they love locking up foriengners. I went to Cuba for a family vacation when I was a teen. We had literally landed a few hours ago and just got to the hotel and we were walking down a rural area of the beach and I really needed to use to bathroom so I did what any young Canadian boy would do and went into the closest section of bush, looked around to make sure no one was watching and pissed. As I turned around to walk away and zip up I saw two men running towards me. As they got closer it was apparant that they were hotel security. These mother fuckers tackled me to the ground, zip tied my hands behind my back and started dragging me away! Screaming to me that the police are coming and I'm going to jail because what I did was a very serious crime in Cuba...FUCKING PISSING IN THE BUSH. Anyway long story short every Canadian in the hotel had my back telling them what I did is very common in our country and they decided not to call the police but they said I had to be deported! My family and me had arrived a few hours earlier and because i took a piss we had to all go home without getting a cent of money returned and now I am never allowed back in Cuba. Which is fine by me. FUCK THAT PLACE worst laws ever, worst food I have ever eaten (i have heard this from everyone, not just judging on what i ate for the few hours I was there, which was terrible food absolutly terrible)

I know quite a few cubans personally, and they have this hate-love relationship with cuba; they love it because it is a fantastic island, super beautiful in terms of nature.
but they hate the fucking nazi goverment they have, and every single person involved in it.
no wonder they risk their lives to get the fuck out by floating out on top of an old tire.

Cuba is one of the only countries to stand up to American imperialism...and has paid the price for many years now. We (US) are the biggest customers of communist China, yet we enforce the evil embargo against the the little island of Cuba. When people are hungry for decades on end, they tend to act out. You expect it to be like Hawaii?
i would love to go back and buy a bunch of their old cars. cuba is an old car haven.

What would Canadians say if a Cuban visiting Canada would slaughter a goat in his hotel backyard?...just because that's what they might be used to do in Cuba?
